Executive Summary

One of the fastest growing food industries worldwide is the coffee business. In America alone, the nation consumes more than 300 million cups of coffee per day. There is a coffee craze going on throughout the world, which makes it an exciting and promising business venture. Over the years, there has been an increasing demand for the provision of a coffee shop that serves the needs of the community within walking distance, and at the same time, can be positioned on an area with excellent visibility to drive additional traffic. The Musketeer Team decided that they must aggressively pursue this opportunity that presents a service to the community, job opportunities and a lucrative income for the three partners. This proposal presents the details behind the opening of Aroma Café…Happiness in a Cup.

Scope Statement

Objective

To open up a coffee shop, Aroma Café, where locals can enjoy a cup of coffee on the run, spend some time at the coffee house to read a book or study, and/or catch up with friends over a latte and some pastries. The coffee shop will be placed at a community that offers its members the benefit of being able to walk there, but at the same time, its location will have plenty of visibility to attract additional traffic from those individuals driving by. The architecture, location and menu will target an 18 - 49 demo, comprised of college students and young professionals. Goal Definition

Open a business that presents a lucrative opportunity with an existing market that promises a return on investment and growth within the first two years. Aside from the financial benefits to its investors, this project will help its community by opening employment opportunities and drive additional traffic to the nearby small businesses. Goals that address our mission:

* Create a coffee house where locals can enjoy a cup of coffee on the run, spend some time at the coffee house to read a book or study, and/or catch up with friends over a latte and some pastries. * The coffee shop will be placed at a community that offers its members the benefit of being able to walk there, but at the same time, its location will have plenty visibility to attract additional traffic from those individuals driving by. * Observe the market and create appealing promotions to create customer retention and at the same time provide warm, friendly and professional customer service. * Live up to our motto “Happiness in a Cup”

* Tap into a large market with promising possibilities of market share * Return on investment (ROI) and profits within the first two years * Possibilities to expand the business to other locations * Create job opportunities
