Comparison Of Hamlet And Trifles In Margo Veil

Margo veil a play by Jen Leikin explores the bizarre nature of reality.Hamlet on the other hand is a confusing play which displays the prince’s insanity which leaves the audience doubting if he is really insane since there are adequate times where he also displays sanity.Trifles, is a mystery drama that starts with a lady killing his husband and the focus of the play goes to why kill the husband. These three plays differ in style, setting and other literal characteristics. This paper will explore some of these differences.
Characters are the most important part of a play. In Jekin's play, characters are shown to be American, romantic and adventurers (Andreach 113).In his play it is the characters that keep the play running. Trifles meanwhile shows the men
Hamlet on the other has cunning, unstable, selfish, loyal, manipulative and scornful character. The experience transience is the main theme in Margo Veil and the author carries it throughout the play. In trifles and Hamlet however the authors have several themes trough the plays, riffles for example has two main themes which are male oppression and how to cast it off and the demonstration of women intuition. Shakespeare also displays various themes including mortality, women, madness and politics. Margo veil being a one act play has less time to fit in many themes unlike the other two which have more acts
