Comparing Ray Bradbury And Li-Young Lee's The Gift

Ray Bradbury, and Li-Young Lee’s stories, “The Gift”, are both similar and different from each other. Both stories involve a gift, the gift being given by the father, a reason for why the father gives a gift, and how the boy reacts to getting the gift.
In Ray Bradbury’s “The Gift”, the boy receives the view of the universe from the window of the rocket, on their way to Mars. The gift is from both the father and the mother, but is thought of by the father. The father gives the boy this gift, because they could not bring the original gift on board.
