The Scarlet Pimpernel and “Ozymandias” as literature have a lot in common .When it comes to justice and vengeance these two writing’s show a strong use of them .In The Scarlet Pimpernel and “Ozymandias” the author and writer shows a strong diction of what people will go to for vengeance and how people will take action for justice . Characters in The Scarlet Pimpernel showed actions for justice in an appropriate manner .In “Ozymandias” the main character, King Ozymandias , was an unliked Ruler. Round the decay of that colossal wreck…” (Shelley) shows revenge when all that's left of the corrupt king is a lost statue that's uncaringly destroyed . In The Scarlet Pimpernel the diction “...those aristos were such fools!They were traitors to the people of course...Their ancestors had oppressed the people...And daily,hourly, the hideous instrument of torture claimed its many victims.”(pg.2,Orczy) shows how the people tortured the aristos for revenge from events that were decades before their time, and it was wrong because those people had done nothing wrong.
