The Spanish due to their inferior weapons, the bold war tactics of the Spanish and the eventual capture of both empires’ emperors defeated the Incas and Aztecs. However, in both societies the single greatest factor that led to their ultimate demise was the smallpox epidemic. This epidemic swept through Latin America and took a hold of both of these empires and affected them with catastrophic results.…
The Mayan,The Aztecs,Then Inca all went through similar predicaments. Their society was kinda the same they all had godlike emperors and religion was very important to them. All the tribes were very big and successful and they all got attacked and taken down by the Spanish. The Mayan tribe didn't work together to prosper as a civilization, the tribe was divided by both class and profession. The Mayan was never an empire and the reason why they are not around today.…
The Mayas, Incas and Aztecs. They all had a very distinctive culture, that defined the way they lived, and influenced the way their followers still live today. For example, the Maya lifestyle was greatly based on religion, with big temples known today as architectural wonders. Along with their culture, each civilization also had a set of achievements, which in some cases are continued to be used today. The Inca people would weave colorful woolen cloths, which served as blankets for those who could afford them. Lastly, each civilization had a decline. The Maya civilization ended up falling, whereas the Inca and Aztec civilizations ended up being conquered by the Spanish. When the spanish began to conquer the Aztec civilization, their mission…
The cultural interactions between the Europeans and Native Americans shaped the European culture in the New World positively in many ways, a few of them being food supply, trade and hospitality. The Native Americans were very friendly and helpful when the Europeans came over. They began to shower the Europeans in gifts of food and goods in hopes for the same in return. The Native Americans not only offered some of their own food supply they also gave them tips and taught them how to grow crops successfully. Due to this kindness the Europeans were able to control and create a sustainable food supply. The Natives also traded some of their goods with the Europeans; this gave the Europeans the resources they needed to survive and to create a trade…
Rural Growth and Crisis: While the Latin West flourished under cultivation, farming techniques, an use of machinery and mechanical forms of energy, rural Europeans faced a time of catastrophe and struggle. The growth of population had a major impact on society and caused many difficulties and conflicts to arise. The Black Death in Latin West took care of the over population, but it also caused people to turn more religious and less conservative, caused many social changes, and also led to the higher demand pay from skilled and manual laborers, which then led to revolt by peasants against wealthy nobles and churchman. Mining, metalworking, and the use of mechanical energy all helped with the development of watermills, which were used for many…
The population of the country of Chile is almost 16 million people. The majority of the people live in the dense cities that lie in-between the two mountainous regions. Only 16% of the population brave the rural mountains of this narrow natural resource rich country. The indigenous people (7% of the countries population) make up almost half of the portion of the mountainous population. This section of the population is extremely culture rich in comparison to the rest of the country which is Mestizo (a mix of indigenous and European decent). They have had lots of culture mixing as it includes European culture from more than ten different countries. This has caused…

The revolutions that took place in the United States, France, Haiti, and Latin America were all influenced by one another. The main political idea was that of popular sovereignty. This was the idea that the authority to govern comes from the people. This strayed from the ideals that the right to govern comes from God or tradition. The main group that benefited from these revolutions was middle class white males; except in Haiti. Long term, the revolutions gave many groups the ammunition needed to fight for political rights they previously did not have.…

Culture is one of many common denominators that portrays the beliefs, customs, values, and languages of modern day society. Furthermore, culture serves as a defining principle of how people live and what type of person they develop into throughout the infinite process of time. Another essential aspect of culture is that it helps outline a definite sketch of the learned and shared human patterns that surround numerous civilizations. Deriving from a pre-dominantly Mexican heritage, one of the most dynamic and influential aspects of Hispanic culture is “Dia de los Muertos.”…
We live in a world rounded with many cultures and languages. I’m part of the “American salad” which is made up of different races and ethnicities that includes Hispanics. Being Hispanic to me is the cultural that are induced into our lifestyles, the prioritize aspect of the bonding of family, and a strong volition to thrive without excuses. Being Hispanic is rationalized with one category, the language, but being Hispanic comes with more characteristics than just being prone with the ability to speak Spanish.…
One thing I can never deny is my heritage. I am a Mexican American. I was born in America, and nurtured by Mexican parents. I am bilingual: I speak English, and I speak Spanish at home, and bicultural: I eat authentic Mexican food in my house, and American fast food when I go out with friends. Although, you may think that I get the best of two worlds; in reality, it’s not always like that. The truth is, I do not fit into the stereotypes that most people have about Mexican Americans, and surprisingly enough, I don’t assimilate well with other Mexicans either. Being a Mexican American while staying true to yourself is different than keeping your heritage and following social expectations. Ever since I was young, I have always felt out of place mainly because my family…
