Comparing and contrasting of two artists will show how some artists have similar reasoning behind the creation of their art, however; you will also see how the creativity merges into completely different styles of interpretation of their art, and what type of emotion art can be created from. Eleanor Antin and Walton Ford both have different backgrounds to what each considers a work of art, from real life conceptual photographic art to naturalistic animal art. Two very different artists with one thing in common, both of the artists’ work appears to be of movement and look to the humorous and frenetic reality in their art. The artists are diligent in capturing a realistic piece of time in each character they work with. In viewing his subject matter behind his art, I found myself rewinding the video to look at his works of art. It was vibrant and big and you were able to truly enjoy his work as if the scene was coming to life. Mr. Ford started using watercolors in his earlier pictures and graduated to using them on a large scale in print form, just like the paintings of Rembrandts large scale art work. The background he gave about his research into his own art and the history of his animal characters made the art more dramatic. ‘Mr. Walton, states; he paints from the humor side of things and likes to incorporate little clues of jokes and old folktales often referenced from colonial literature’.
