Community Service
In 500 words or less, define community service and its importance to you.

Millard Fuller once said, “For a community to be whole and healthy, it must be based on people's love and concern for each other.” Judging from Fuller’s quote, he’s absolutely right. Community Service is a bridge to make a difference in the community for a better brighter future. This bridge starts with the good deeds and hard work put forth by people who volunteer. Volunteers make a difference in our community by helping the people who are in need, cleaning the community, and giving back to the community. Fuller imagined a place that would be safe and clean for us to live in and most importantly a place for our future generation. I believe that through community service we can definitely make the community a better place for ourselves and for the next generation of children.
Being a volunteers, there are so many opportunities to change the world we see. Volunteers help those who are in need and make a great impact in there lives. There are many people in our community who are struggling with finding food and feeding themselves, or also just finding shelter. Whether they are homeless or poor, people like them need help. For a brighter future in our community, volunteers help these people get their lives together, so in return they will be able to give back to the community and continue to help others who are also struggling.
To continue making our community bright and safer for future generations, volunteers make the public places we use everyday cleaner and safer. A lot trash and litter ruins the community, it makes the place we live in less appealing and hard to live in. We discourage littering and public vandalism. Volunteers clean the street we use and the sidewalks we walk on so we can breathe a fresher air and protect us from diseases that we can catch outside. After cleaning up a community, people can walk outside to enjoy the nice scenery.
