College Admissions Essay: My Freshman Year Of High School

Along the outside looking in, this is a glamorous yet alarming time in the lives of many seniors across this nation. As we proceed the next chapter in our lives and begin the road to our independence. It’s forcing us to realize that the past four years is concluded on a few pieces of paper compiled of our: grades, GPA,and test scores wrapped up and called “our future.” In hindsight the future is as clear as 20/20 vision, yet still as blurry as the background to a picture perfect photo. Entering my freshman year of high school I had a vision: as to what I wanted to walk away with , what type of person I wanted to become, and the challenges that I knew would arise. As a result the amount of time I slept, spent studying, and with my family was limited. My grades, test scores, and GPA took a downfall. In hope, my effort had relieved one of the many stresses that I knew kept her up at night. Understanding that I've cracked underneath the pressure and missed my opportunity to grow and reached my full potential. I now appear as a less than perfect student. I'm furthering my education not only to pursue my passions along with finding the best career field for me, but to grow as an individual. In hope by receiving a second chance will allow me the opportunity to be that more than a perfect student. Being confused and consumed in the chaos of my challenges made me forget what has been instilled in me since before I could remember “school comes first, no matter what”. My actions made me more aware of where my future was heading, which so many teens fatally traveled before me. Coming in as an exploring student sends a message that I’ve yet to announce, admit , or acknowledge which path to take in order to pursue my passions. Which are: traveling the world, aid people in need , while learning something new every
