College Admissions Essay: A Career As A Soldier

I want to do something good for humanity. I believe that one of the best ways to help people is through service. I believe that all that I have been endowed with in this life, must be paid back through service to others through the utilization of the the training, talents, and abilities that I possess or will possess. Ever since I was little, I’ve always had a fascination with being a soldier. The idea of a soldier, tall, strong, and proud, was the example I always compared myself to in my mind’s eye. Whatever I did, I asked myself the question, “is this how a soldier would act?” Once I learned more about the military, and the Service Academies, I realized that this may be the right path for me.
