Cold Mountain Character Analysis
The characters within the novel Cold Mountain can connect to me in a spiritual way. I connect mostly with Inman who has to go through a journey after seeing a tragic event and tries to regain hope into a better world. He feels regret after killing and eating a young bear, “He tried to name which of the deadly seven might apply, and when he failed he decided to append an eighth, regret.” (Frazier 281). I have also felt regret in my life when I forgot to help my friend who needed it quick. I instantly felt regretful of not supporting one of my closest friends, but I soon had to leave the situation behind and move forward on into the real world where treacherous battles awaited for my arrival.
