Clinical Reflective Report

Walking into Roosevelt Elementary the first day of clinicals was one of the most overwhelming experiences I faced over the course of the semester. I was a brand-new nursing student with not a lot of experience, who lacked confidence and feared the thought of working with children. This past few weeks of clinicals have been a completely different experience. Over the past nine weeks I believe I have grown exponentially with my skills as a nursing student. I am confident in working with clients of all age ranges, utilizing therapeutic communication, educating clients on health care topics and hands on skills including vital signs, blood glucose, vision screening and peripheral artery disease screening.
