Christmas is a holiday celebrated around the world. Children wait all night the evening before for santa to place their gifts beneath the tree. Excitement rages from them the morning of December twenty-fifth; pretty wrapping paper and shiny bows glisten under the christmas tree lights while the bulbs upon it sparkle so elegantly. However, Christmas is not about all these aspects that it is displayed as. Christmas has more meaning than pretty gifts and how many gifts each child has under the tree. This holiday is above the amount of money one kid gets while the next gets so little. Though some see Christmas as a materialistic holiday, it has far more depth than so little meaning. The Holiday of Christmas contrasts greatly with celebrations…
Christmas brings out a certain joy in me. Seeing the same enthusiasm in others makes me realize how wonderful the season is. Hearing the songs that can brighten anyone’s day, and smelling fresh cookies straight out of the oven is just a bonus to the already perfect holiday. Christmas 2015 here I…
Christmas plays as the best season every year. But first, what is Christmas? Christmas meaning "Christ 's Mass" is an annual commemoration of the holy birth of Jesus Christ as the son of God and a widely observed cultural holiday, celebrated generally on December 25 by millions of people around the world. Christmas has become such an important holiday for so many people around the world that it has developed its own traditions far beyond its original scope. Unfortunately,…
Christmas is a kid’s favorite holidays for really only one reason: presents. We live in a society where materialistic things outweigh almost anything else. We would do almost anything to get the new iPhone, and we have an annual “buy as much as you can” day, also known as Black Friday. Christmas, unfortunately, has gone away from its religious origins and has been turned into the most expensive holiday of the year. Although I am sitting here trashing Christmas, I do still enjoy the snow and the decorations; who doesn’t? Snow sets the stage for Santa, and decorations make it all the merrier. Twinkling lights accompany almost every roof and dance in the cold winter gusts. The weather and feel of Christmas couldn’t be more perfect for the holiday; cold keeps us in the house and makes the fire feel all the more wonderful, while sugary treats and presents make our tummies and shelves feel good. Unfortunately for Christmas, my love for the day has diminished. I have grown up to see how selfish our society is during this time of year and now different we treat the holiday than it is actually supposed…
The warmth of a burning fire, the slight smell of cinnamon, and the sweet sound of Christmas music playing in the background is the best feeling. Christmas is a holiday celebrated by many and cherished by a countless amount of people. Some holidays may not be as popular as Christmas, but that does not mean they are any less important. Holidays should not be eliminated because it allows people to celebrate and show their respect and feelings about certain times in American history. ALong with other races that come to America for freedom.…
Thanksgiving passes and the Christmas trees and lights are put up around the neighborhood. Christmas tunes are playing in every single market. This time of the year is typically where families reunite and are cheerful. As much as one may not like Christmas, the only way to escape it is by isolating themselves from everyone else staying home for the whole month of December. Celebrating Christmas and the stories of Santa Claus has always been a tradition in the United States since 1870.…
My family celebrates Christmas. Christmas is my personal favorite holiday, for mostly selfish reasons, but reasons none the less. On Christmas Eve we start by going to my grandparents house and having a big dinner and opening stockings that my grandma hand made for us when we were born. Then when we get home the first thing we do is unload the stuff from our grandparents house and get ready for bed. My siblings and I go into our parents bedroom and get on Santa Tracker immediately so we know when we should go to bed. This year that might change though, becuase Miles, my little brother, knows about Santa now. We find a Christmas movie or two then settle down on the floor or bed. Usually we watch How The Grinch Stole Christmas and Elf. We watch How The Grinch Stole Christmas because when we first started the tradition that is what we watched and the second movie because it is our favorite Christmas movie us. The tradition started one year when for Christmas we got new furniture for our rooms and we could not be in our rooms while they were putting the furniture together. Basically the tradition started as a trick and we liked it so much, we thought, let's do it again next year a couple of times. I suppose that is how most traditions start though. The idea behind the tradition is that we all wake up together and we all see the presents at the same…
You should always keep Christ in Christmas. Keeping Christ in Christmas, you can’t just think about yourself. You need to think of other people that are less fortunate. My family does a good amount of things to help others, such as baking cookies, cake, chicken tenders.…
Feelings of reminiscence, joyfulness, and generosity should be in us as we celebrate the Christmas season. During Christmas time, we should be in reminiscence about the season. How meaningful does Christmas become to us when we look back and remember all the events that occurred the night Christ was born! It was the night of Christmas that God became a man to live among us. Also, the angels appeared to the shepherds, and a multitude of heavenly host glorified God.…

Exchanging gifts with friends and family is one great part to Christmas because everyone has fun receiving new things. Another reason is because people get to give other people that warm joyful feeling inside. The best part of giving gifts is watching the people open the gifts that have been given to them. This always puts a smile on plenty of people’s faces.…

Christmas is my favorite holiday. It’s the time of year when I accompany my mother, sister or friends to the store to buy gifts for other people. We decorate our homes to bring cheer to our friends and families. We hang our light on the outside of the homes to brighten the spirits of our friends, neighbors, and strangers, who drive by to see the colored lights. This holiday is my favorite because on this particular day I get the quality time to spend with my family, it’s relaxing and personally it brings joy and spirit into my life.…
