In the article “High Tech Trash” by Chris Caroll, Caroll explains the effects of e-waste (electronic trash). The article mentioned how most electronics that are thrown out, donated to charity, or even recycled still end up in developing countries. “While some recyclers process the material with an eye toward minimizing pollution and health risk, many more sell it to brokers who ship it to the developing world, where environmental enforcement is weak” (Caroll 81). This causes our e-waste to affect other families around the world who worked who most likely worked in sweatshops to produce the products that are being sent back to them. When this should not be the case other countries should not have to pay with their wealth to take care of our…

Jim McGreevy and James Craig deny their accusation deny their conduct and commonly accuse the opposite for insult their public figures and I don’t think American public should know anyone’s personally life. Professor I can tell you that American is not what it used to be, you are not allow to fight back anymore everyone have been selfish and extremely scare of others. Think of what this country used to be, I would say yes in the 90s about American should know their elected officials personally life but not anymore. Why would you ever interfere with other personal’s business? They are elected because of you, you should give space and respect for their privacy. Don’t you have any other things to do? Is that what we all about now? Talking other…
I believe that the theme of the novel Jake Riley; Irreparably damaged by Rebecca Fjelland Davis is not to judge a book by its cover. Usually, I find myself following this saying. The theme is shown in a smaller instance when Lainey's friends assume she was in love with Jake. She denies it after they whisper into her ear, “‘Why didn't you tell us’” (Davis 14). Another instance in the book somewhat shows the main theme when Lainey and the school counsellor are arguing about Jake. Lainey begins to lose all control of herself after the counsellor begins making assumptions about Jake doing something illegal, so she ends up yelling at Mrs. Prebyl, saying, “‘. . . Maybe what Jake needs is somebody who thinks he's not irreparably damaged’” (Davis 228).…
How much of society information is believe to be fact but is actually an opinion?…
The last example is concerning his incredible athletic ability. Finny and Gene are in the pool one day, and they read the plaque that holds the swimming record times. Finny looks at one and decides that he can beat that time record. He tries, and he beats the record. Gene wants him to do it on front of an official judge. Finny Refuses and says "No, I just wanted to see if I could do it. Now I know"(35). This tells you that he lives life to it's fullest, since he is just doing this to see if he can. Most people wouldn't even think about trying to see if they could break the record, they would be too lazy to go find a stop watch anyway.…
The short story "The Things They Carried" by Tim O'Brien takes place in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. In this story we are introduced to First Lieutenant Jimmy Cross and his platoon. They all differ in age and ethnicity, and have different views on the Vietnam War. Do you still remember your first time open a can of food? Did you able to fully explain how to open the can with words? I guess most of people will answer no. When we were kid, we use show and tell to explain most of complex thing in our early life. We use show and tell when we choose multiple options. For example, we say “this one,” and “that one” with a finger pointing to the option. One of the famous comics artist, Scott McCloud also shows the important of language in his graphic essay Show and Tell. The essay starts with a child using show and tell to teaching student how to use a toy. McCloud uses this opening example to explain word and picture could help people understand more about the essay, and word…
Johnny Tremain is largely a coming of age story. It is quite obvious that he matures physically over the course of the story. However his most significant changes are in other areas. LIke what? A good thesis would list what you’re going to talk about.…
Discussing the outcome of a Roundtable discussion of federalism in Australia, John Wanna reported that "...all three levels of government - Commonwealth, state/territory and local - tended to see federalism as a malaise, not as a source of effective government" (Wanna 2007: 276).…

In America, when any sort of tragedy strikes the nation, citizens consistently turn to media outlets and politicians in order to determine the facts of the tragedy and how they should feel about it. Citizens want to know if they should feel sympathetic, annoyed, or even enraged. This is why citizens of the United States find it so important to determine the presidential candidates’ thoughts and feelings on tragedies and if they can agree with them. With the recent shooting of Terence Crutcher, many news outlets have covered the fact that Donald Trump claims he was troubled by the shooting. Despite there being only one event, news outlets can cover the event by using different framing techniques so that their audiences develop the desired opinion.…
Myles Munroe believes that, “The value of life is not in its duration, but in its donation. You are not important because of how long you live, you are important because of how effective you live.” People in the world have their own view on life, but as Munroe states, it’s not about how long a person lives but the effectiveness of what they have done with their life because it affects how the future generations will turn out. Throughout time and space, people have debated about what the purpose of life is and why do people have the opportunity to experience it. People like William Shakespeare, Robert Ebert, and Amanda Ripley all have their own appointing views on life but they all relate to each other in many different ways.…
