It will soon pass the illegal sale of drugs. One of the reason more people are looking to trafficking more than sale of illegal goods, is because being a pimp pays a lot of money. Being a pimp pays about 200,000$ per child, a pimp usually has 5-6 children per year, using those stats the pimp should make over a million dollars a year. Also the children are being arrested for prostitution, not you, so you have a better chance of not getting caught. If your prostitute gets caught you aren't there, you had nothing to do with it. Children that are trafficked usually come from horrible homes. Where they were abused, raped, or didn't have enough money for their necessities. The pimps get them by driving up in their nice ferraris and offer them a really good job, or a really good home with all the money they need.A pimp will usually become a pimp over a gun or drug trafficker because the money is way better, also because of their job security. They pull children in by offering these paradises to them. This shows why Human Trafficking has gone up over the illegal sale of arms. Also how child are trapped into the world of prostitution. This shows tells all about child

“The U.S. State Department estimates between 700,000 and four million persons are trafficked annually across international borders” (Goodman, 2010). Men are trafficked mostly for agriculture and labor, but Women and children make up the largest amount of people trafficked across theses borders. Women and children are trafficked for prostitution and sweat shop labor. Living in America, “Land of the free” I can’t imagine being forced to work in the awful, unthought of conditions for free or even perform sexual duties by force daily. So I definitely cannot bring myself to believe that small children are subjected to theses sorts of unacceptable situations. It is truly sad, and heartbreaking. Not only are the people doing this to others damaging them mentally but they could be exposing these women and children to diseases that could kill them, such as…

The most well-known example of slavery to most Americans is the Transatlantic Slave Trade, which brought millions of African American people to the New World to be slaves. However, not even the 13th amendment can put an end to slavery. In 2005, the International Labour Organization estimated that between 980,000 and 1.2 million children are victims of human trafficking (“Combating Human Trafficking”). These children came from 127 countries and were recruited by a promise of a better life (“Combating Human Trafficking”; “Child Trafficking”). Human trafficking is an international concern which demands more initiative to bring it to an end.…

Human trafficking is an ongoing criminal industry that affects the lives of many people in America, as noted before and nowhere near to being terminated. Sex trafficking, labor trafficking, and debt bondage are the three major kinds of human trafficking where traffickers generate vast amount of money and single profiling is nonexistent. Victims have diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds, varied levels of education, may be documented or undocumented, etc. When focusing on the U.S. entirely, all across the map there are different reporting’s of human trafficking, and there will be a continuation of it. However, it’s essential to recognize the signs to prevent someone from being trafficked, or simply providing information and/or resources regarding human trafficking. It’s time to be conscious of the dilemma occurring in the U.S., and discuss…

Did you know human trafficking is the fastest increasing criminal industry in todays world, coming in second after illegal drug-trade? This type of vicious crime is considered as a modern day slavery where human beings are being traded illegally for forced labor or for exploitation. Contrary to popular beliefs, it not only exists in foreign countries, but in fact in the United States as well. I chose this topic because human trafficking is a growing problem in contemporary society which needs to be well known. An approximate of 17,500 foreigners are trafficked each year in the United States alone, the number of U.S citizens trafficked within the United States are surprisingly even higher. It is acknowledged that women and young…

“To deny people their human rights is to challenge their very humanity” (Mandela). Human rights can be defined by United Nations as rights inherent to all human beings, whatever our nationality, place of residence, sex, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, language, or any other status. Victims of human trafficking have had their most basic form of rights taken away from them; rights that they were guaranteed from at the point of birth. This means that they have been stolen of their humanity, as if they were an object. Trafficking is a violation of human rights because it robs women and girls of the rights of freedom of: speech and expression, highest attainable…

The U.S. is also focusing more on what is called the demand side of sex trafficking, meaning there is increased effort to reduce the demand for sex acts by focusing on the men who buy sex acts and the pimps who control women and girls and promote prostitution. Last year, I did a research report for the U.S. State Department on the demand side of sex trafficking that focused on men's motivation and behavior related to buying sex acts, and described programs that focused on prosecuting or reeducating men. I'm working on a second report right…
