CHARTER CHANGE
IS CHARTER CHANGE CONSIDERED THE BEST SOLUTION TO ZAMBOANGA SIEGE?
CHARTER CHANGE or popularly known as “cha-cha” was already suggested to the Philippine government few years ago but the senate did not approve it after due deliberation. They said, it is not the answer to the crisis being faced by neither the Philippines nor the siege in Zamboanga.
Misuari, now 71, may have lost the support and sympathy of the majority of the Muslim Filipinos.
In a recent editorial on its website, luwaran.com, the MILF said that Misuari's declaration of independence and ordering the assault of Zamboanga City "is a wild move that can cause him great trouble, perhaps a gradual slipping into oblivion."
The MILF, whose present leaders were Misuari's former commanders, said that the moral legitimacy of Misuari's leadership is seriously doubted now, adding that the Zamboanga tragedy was "not an act of brinkmanship, which great leaders often do, but rather in summary a blunder."
Therefore, why changing the present Presidential form of government to Parliamentary system?
Moro officers and enlisted personnel of the 6th ID and its component brigades and battalions admitted having been embarrassed by the actions of Misuari’s followers who laid siege on several barangays in Zamboanga City.
“Their violent actions constituted a serious violation of the GPH-MNLF peace agreement. It was tantamount to abrogating the peace agreement,” said an Army major, whose father was an ethnic Maguindanaon guerrilla who fought government forces in the 1970s.
“What they are doing now is an absolute disrespect to the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation), which is involved in the tripartite review of the peace agreement about five years ago,” seconded a Moro Army captain, who is of Tausog ancestry.
“It must be a peaceful `quadripartite interaction,’ in the spirit of amity and cooperation. No mutinies or bloody revolts just to dramatize ill feelings,” Sema said.
If you noticed, Misuari’s fellow Moros were also against with what Misuari has done and his plans for Mindanao. As I have said, we don’t need an old, irrelevant fighter faking his formidability to take priority over these problems at these trying times.
His siege of Zamboanga is a NUISANCE. But even more so, is Nur Misuari.

“This publication was the fourth of a series on the Army's Professional Military Ethics (PME) that the Army Chief of Staff, General George Casey, started in 2009. General Casey encouraged the Army to think critically about our PME and promote dialog at all levels as we deepen our understanding of what this time-honored source of strength means to the profession today. In his book, Pfaff (2011) explores the cultural values, challenges the Army faces, in a time of persistent irregular conflicts. Pfaff argues that the challenges come from the nature of the conflict. The guerrilla soldiers change the nature of war from forcing your will on your enemy to convincing the enemy to accept your position.” (Pfaff,…

However, the debate arises when the topic of ‘ignorance and confusion’ is introduced. The appendix argues that Demetrio and his army do not obtain a revolutionary mind set when it comes to fighting the Federales. Instead, they have more of a personal response. I went down to the school at six, just as he said. Captain Torres and his men had spread the word and posted notices. “Failure to join the assembly will be seen as an act of war against the Free National Army and the Hispanian Federation and offenders will be arrested and executed.” However, the captain and his men had miscalculated – there were hundreds of people, far too many for the schoolyard, so they put up roadblocks to keep any more people coming in. Unfortunately, I came early out of a fear of getting arrested. Looking around, I saw ranks of soldiers surrounding the schoolyard, their rifles pointing menacingly at us. The FNA were making it absolutely clear that if any kind of riot broke out, we’d be massacred.…

There was a lot of International Media and Mark Doyle of the BBC was suppose to report about what was happening in Rwanda and even though it was his job, he didn’t tell the news anything. Mbaye Diagne was also a U.N Soldier and he took things into his own hands to help the tutsis. Laura Lane describes the Rwandan Genocide as evil. “She says, its not the color of their skin, not male or female and being in Rwanda, some of the things you saw were women going after their own children. It was indescribable, but you can see it in their eyes, the blackness you cannot explain.” A genocide means with intent to destroy whole or in part, a national, ethical, racial or a religious group. The tutsis were being prosecuted because of something of which they were or in which they believed in, which should not be a crime. Even when warnings were received, the United Nations ignored them. UN force commander in Rwanda, Major General Romeo Dallaire asked for protection and additional troops to prevent the planned violence from…

Summarize the article -- Before summarizing the article:CHACHA needed for inclusive growth. I would like you to know that some sentences below are taken from the article. Thus, I do not account any ownership on some other lines. The article is about Charter change (CHA-CHA) must be pushed in the Philippines. It sites that our Constitution, is not welcoming foreign investors to our mass media and advertising, public utilities, educational institutions, land ownership, and exploitation of natural resources. The good news is, letting foreign investors to invest only in our stock market, not in actual capital goods and fixed investments. Moreover, our president compared our country to China who can afford to be restrictive of land ownership. This proves that we can also have a growing rate. However, the government of China is more efficient than ours in implementing infrastructure projects. On the other hand, changing our constitution can be very simple, according to Feliciano Belmonte, “What the legislators can do is to append the phrase “except when otherwise provided by law” to all the restrictive economic provisions.” Though, it sounded simple, As the critics say, any unlimited ability to buy land could enable the rich Arabs or the Chinese to buy all the 7,100 islands of the Archipelago. Also, Bernardo M. Villegas suggest that the new Foreign Investments Act should allow a 49 percent foreign ownership also to assure the preservation of certain national values that could be endangered in the hands of foreigners who may espouse such counter values as abortion, divorce and gay marriages. All in all, the massive entry of foreign investors – regulated by the Foreign Investments Act – can do much to make all the sectors of the Philippine economy more competitive, with the resulting benefits to consumers in the form of lower prices, higher quality of goods or services and greater productivity from the technology that foreigners will bring with them.…
