Charles Darwin's Theory: Social Darwinism
Charles Darwin’s theory was called Social Darwinism. The theory was based on evolution by natural selection which lead to an explanation of life’s biological diversities. The theory states that only the strong will strive and outlive the weak in society. Darwin founded a new branch of life science, evolutionary biology and the concept of Social Darwinism is applied to modern biology. Darwinism led to people to believe that human race traits changed and led to new races. This resulted in scientific racism, which is racism justified by evolution. Also, Darwinism resulted in eugenics which is science of improving a population by control of the population growth to increase the result of desirable heritable characteristics. Western civilization
