Charles Darwin had a big impact on society with his theory of evolution by natural selection, etc... He is important because of the scientific and humanist ideas. He made people aware of where are placed in the evolutionary process. His theory of evolution by natural though not popular at first laid down the foundation of biology and for more theories on evolution to be made, serving as a tenant for modern genetics research. Though the theory goes against many religions and remains to be a heated debate to the public.
