In the short story The Lottery the characters have different feelings about the lottery. Mrs. Hutchinson does not like the lottery like some other people. It shows that she doesn’t like it because she was late. Then she started complaining because her husband was picked. Mrs. Hutchinson kept saying it wasn’t fair and they didn’t give her husband enough time to choose. Some people, like the old man Warner, didn’t think it was cruel to do the lottery. Some villages are givin up the lottery, so old man Warner said “Pack of crazy fools.” This evidence shows that old man warner likes the lottery and he’s been in it for many years.
