Later, Shoeless Joe Jackson ask Terence to join them in the corn crop field. Ray is frustrated because he was not invited and wants to know what is in it for him. Terence attempts to explain that maybe being invited into the corn was his destiny. He goes to further explained maybe the voices pushing him to do these things was the destiny for Ray. Ray feels as though he followed what the voice asked of him and he still got nothing out of it.
