Centerville Field Experience
I have chosen Centerville ISD as the school to complete my Field Experience 1 for this semester. Centerville Elementary has a different setup than the average school. Because of the low population, 1st-3rd grade classes are located in one building. Each class rotates throughout the day to three different teachers. Each teacher teaches two subjects. My mentor teacher, Mrs. Childress, teaches reading in the morning and science in the afternoon. The three teachers create a collaborative environment for the students. The small building has 4 classrooms, 1 is used as a computer lab/library for all the classes.
Every morning the entire elementary (approximately 40 students) come together for a morning meeting. This is where they do pledges, announcements,

Lincoln Financial Field was something that was dreamed up by a fresh management team headed by new team owner Jeff Lurie in 1994. It wasn’t until five years later, in 1999, that a plan was set in motion by the Pennsylvania government when they announced $320 million would be set aside for the construction of 4 new professional stadiums in the state, 2 in Philadelphia and 2 in Pittsburgh. It took a few years longer than Pittsburgh, especially with the poor local growth coalition in Philadelphia, for the project to begin after the announcement to get everything straightened out so that what would be called Lincoln Financial Field could be built. With little public input and few objections to the football stadium that was to be the new home of the Eagles they were able to start building before the baseball stadium. However, the concerns and issues were not just for the baseball stadium; because both teams shared their previous stadium the city of Philadelphia took both the creation of a new baseball stadium and football stadium together.…

The house is a short walk from the school which I love. It provides a break from school and a chance to get some fresh air. During the meeting there is a teacher that does an opening message and prompts a question. While the students listen and think about how they would answer. If they please, they can stand up and share their answer out loud, but it is not mandatory. I was shocked how well they could just sit there that long and get antsy, especially the younger ones. The one time we watched, I was getting antsy and mind wandering, and was impressed because they are younger with more energy than…
