Case Study: The King Of Verona And Italy
Title
Anger is the start of all problems. That is, what I learned when the King of Verona, Italy, decided to invite my family and a few other noble families to a feast. It was a great sunny, day in Verona, Italy, and the king had decided to invite a few of the noble families over to a feast. He called his servant and asked him to write invitations to the Capulets, the Montagues, and a few other noble families. The servant took off obediently, wrote some invitations, and delivered them to the guests. I was in our garden when I saw the servant approach our house, “Is this the Capulets house, sir?” The servant says, “Yes,” I reply, “What do you want?” “I have come to give your family an invitation from the king himself, to a feast,” He hands me a piece of rolled up parchment which I took in my hand. The servant bade me goodbye and left. I took the invitation to my father's study and gave it to my father. He later told our family, the Capulets that we were invited to a feast at the King's Castle, and told us to wear our finest clothes to the feast.

Once we arrived, two guards came to us and asked us for our invitation. When the two guards saw the invitation, they opened the castle gates and told us to enter. We knew that the king’s feasts were the best, especially the food he had, we were always looking forward to the tasty, and delicious Roast Pig stuffed with pudding or the great Venison Stew. After a few hours of feasting and dancing, the feast began to end, everybody was finishing up I saw Lord Montague the 1 eying the last posset goblet, my father saw the goblet at the same time, and they both headed for it. Lord Montague was the faster one, he got there first and drank the posset grossly, and without a bit of respect for my

Henry was using his meaningful speech that arises from his spirit to convey more trust to his followers. This speech was a good example to show how Henry and all other strong feudal rulers in this era used their strength and unique personalities to amaze and persuade but not to force their people to become their followers. The unique and the highly effective speech and the thoughts of Henry v shows how open were individuals in Elizabethan era about expressing themselves to reveal social or political viewpoints.…

Unlike, Explosive or Volatile Anger When people express their anger in violent ways; the result can be explosive and intense. This behavior may cause verbal or physical harm to others and to oneself by breaking valued objects, or acting out in an embarrassing way. For example, Minny has certainly never held her tongue, or held on to a job for very long, but now she's working for a newcomer with secrets that leave her speechless. An ancient family feud driven by anger had done nothing but tear society apart. The Prince was quoted, " Three civil brawls bred an airy word/By thee old Capulet and Montague,/ Have thrice disturbed our streets." (I, i,83-86) For generations an unknown hate has taken over the Capulet and Montague households causing many brawls amongst themselves . As the quote mentions the two families have disturbed the streets of Verona three times because of their anger towards each other. The anger that has built up over the years has not only broken the community, but made the two families drift away. Therefore this anger that dwells within the two families is a factor in breaking their community. Jack has so much anger toward Ralph and the idea of order and democracy that he creates his own tribe which ends in savagery..An example of this is shown in chapter eight of Lord of the Flies, ' " I'm not going to be part of Ralph's lot... I'm going off by myself... Anyone who wants to hunt when I do can come too."'(Golding, pg 140- 141) At this point in the book the boys have been stranded on an island with no sign of adult life around. These young boys have just got things together forming a community with democracy but when anger is introduced in the novel , the utopia is destroyed.. After forming the democracy Ralph was elected leader and this was where Jack 's anger sprouted. From then on the anger within Jack grew throughout the novel until a point where the rage overthrew his logic and his reasoning. When Ralph said that Jack's hunters were just as afraid as he was, his anger reached its climax. Therefore both the households and Jack display anger as one of the main qualities that destroy a society. They both let anger overpower the situation causing chaos, terrible decisions made by impulse, and disruption amongst the community.…

Written by Edward Muir, this powerful microhistory analyses the events during 1511 in the town of Friuli, Italy at the time of the carnival. Muir’s thesis for his book, Mad Blood Stirring comes together in separate parts throughout his introduction. Firstly, Muir attempts to establish the importance of the Venetian rule over the province and people of Friuli and its capital city, Udine. Due to its geographical location, this part of Italy was essential to the country to protect due to risk of invasion and trading posts. Muir emphasises Friuli’s larger place in the politics of Italy, as well as an important part of the European principalities developed in the early modern period. The population of Friuli faced many obstacles in their daily life, such as the Venetian wartime taxation, oppression from local lords, the strain of a mixed group of people, as well as a broad financial decline. During this time Friuli became the birthplace of the type of feud known as the vendetta, which involved a blood feud between families or factions. Particularly in Friuli politics were divided between the two major family factions of the Savorgnan family and the Della Torre family. With all these different factors contributing to the wide scale outbreak of violence, Muir takes them all into consideration while conducting a systematic analysis of the social structure, economy, institutional and political history, and particularly the riot at the carnival of 1511. Overall, Muir sets out to answer the question of why the carnival was so explosive and what caused its events to be so cruel and revolting.…

In the great hall of the Capulets, all is a-bustle. The servants work feverishly to make sure all runs smoothly, and set aside some food to make sure they have some enjoyment of the feast as well. But this ball isn’t what it seems, for many secrets lay behind the curtain and around the corner. The Capulet ball, where enemies were brought together, arguments occurred and love was in the air. It’s no surprise that the Montague’s were excluded from this event as the feud between the Capulet’s and Montague’s has been going on for quite some time now. Dancing, music, laughter, and love, there’s nothing like a Capulet party, however, the party wasn’t all fun and games. Three young men were spotted sneaking into this party. At first, no one knew for sure exactly who these men were. I thought to myself, maybe they were Montague’s trying to crash this party and make it a disaster, causing more of a feud between the families. I interviewed Tybalt to get more information on these men. Tybalt response was, “This by his voice should be a Montague” which meant that they were in fact Montague’s, and that he was definitely not happy to see them. “I wanted them to leave” he said “they were never invited in the first place and had no right to be there”. This quickly stirred up as a conundrum in my head, and I wondered why the Montague’s weren’t kicked out. “I was furious when Capulet told me that the Montague’s were welcome to stay. He didn’t want any trouble but I wanted them gone!” stated Tybalt. It seemed as though he wanted to create more conflict between the Montague’s and the Capulet’s, however, Capulet would not allow him to create a big scene.…

It was a hot night, full of sweating bodies and flowing wine. The midsummer festival raged through the palace courts, and everyone’s soul rumbled with the beating drums and stomping feet, except for Hilde’s. Her soul was quiet and broken. Hands folded and head bowed, like a saint in holy prayer, she sat in her thrown on the platform and softly cried at her misfortune. She hadn’t meant to do it, of course. She hadn’t meant to throw the goblet so hard. But who could blame her? It was after mass that morning, and as she rushed along the halls of the Palace Mergova, she searched for her beloved betrothed, Lord Johann of Saxony. The excitement of her father’s blessing carried her nimble feet onward. She opened for after door, study after study,…

Let’s use an example. You’re eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You have no control over what just happened. What happens next will be determined by how you react. You curse. You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the coffee cup over. She breaks down in tears. After scolding her, you turn to your spouse and criticize them for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus. Your…
