Case Study: The City Of Kelsey
The City of Kelsey, “a great place to grow.” M. Kelsey founded the City of Kelsey in 1932. M Kelsey had the vision to preserve the natural resources of the land and maintain a “close-knit” community. This city is like any other city, with businesses, schools, citizens, government, recreation, parks, transportation, and issues-all of which I will discuss within this paper (Apollo Group, Inc, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008 ).
There are four main businesses in The City of Kelsey. These businesses include, SSC Inc, a technology company, Huffman Trucking, a trucking company that is used to transport the organic fruits and vegetables grow within the city, Kelsey’s Garden, the garden of which these fruits and vegetables are grown in, and Kelsey’s Construction.

The community is always sponsoring events throughout the year such as, craft fairs, 10k runs, and golf tournaments. There are a few different forms of transportation in Kelsey. They have public transportation, which includes trains, bike trails, and their own dealership. There are numerous attractions in Kelsey, country clubs, Lake Lora, Aquatic Centers, Recreation Centers, The City Park, Kelsey’s Riverm and The Arts and Crafts Center (Apollo Group, Inc, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008 …show more content…
They tried to create the “perfect city” and compared to many places and cities in The United States, The City of Kelsey may be as perfect as it gets. Unfortunately, as perfect and wonderful as The City of Kelsey may sound, it is a false perception, for no place is perfect. There have been numerous reports from residents in the city, stating that after large amounts of rainfall that, they see a sheen over the Kelsey River. As much as the community pretends to care about their land and the people on it, nothing has been done to further the investigation of this “sheen.” The scariest part of this to me is that a large source of the community’s drinking water comes from this river and even though there is not a lot of boating in the river, there is a lot of fishing. What if people are eating these fish and how can they be sure they are safe? With all the Farmer’s Markets and community recreations that are taking place within the city, that money should be raised to test the river waters and make sure that the people of Kelsey are safe and happy (Apollo Group, Inc, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008

In Irving, Texas, the minutes of 16 February 2017 were divided into 33 different segments. The first two segments were updates for prior operations in the city for environmental and economic growth. The third to sixth segments were approving and reviewing prior meeting minutes. The seventh to the twenty-seventh were resolutions on costs for the development and maintenance of the city of Irving. The twenty-eighth segment was to adjust the budget for this year. An individual hearing followed for a fee/charge would be placed on Atmos Energy if they used streets, alleys, and public ways in the area of Irving. Next was two zoning cases and one companion item of the ability to create a fence. Finally, the mayor adjourned the meeting to an end. For the majority of the meeting, the cases heard would impact the life as a resident on a daily basis indirectly since they would be affiliated with the development of the city. Only a few of the cases would have little to no impact on the livelihood a majority of the population in the community versus a single individual.…

In the Gregg county, I find there to be a lack of support for law enforcement. The whole system is political which most are, but it can have a negative effect on many of its employee's. I've heard many stories of the corrupt nature of the job, though the actual sheriff is none by many as a respectable man. Things that infuriate me about lack of support, has to do majorly with the raise system. There are no bonus's which is fine in itself, but most company's allow for a raise either every 6 months to a year. Not there, it can be years between, and personal raises are so minimal and rare that they are not even a factor. When there is an issue in the system the county's first reaction is to save themselves and place blame on the easiest target.…

Surveys are created to speak for the people; however, surveys do not always speak for the whole community. A survey completed by Mason City residents concluded that the residents enjoy water sports as a form of recreation. If that is so evident, why has the river not been used? The blame can not be soley be placed on the city park department. The city park department can only do as much as they observe. The real issue is not the residents use of the river, but their desire for a more pleasant smell and a more pleasant sight. If the city government cleans the river, it might take years for the smell to go away. If the budget is changed to accomodate the clean up of the Mason River, other problems will arise. The residents will then begin to complain about other issues in their city that will be ignored because of the great emphasis being placed on Mason River.…
