After close review and careful analysis of the case of Andrea Yates and the circumstances which led to the drowning death and murder of her five children, I first would like to state my personal opinion on the conclusion of the case which was the majority consensus at the time of her trial and sentencing. She was guilty of a horrible murder and although certainly had mental problems, which is apparent by her actions that most completely rational thinking human being and mother would be incapable of committing, and expertly used an insanity plea to lessen the sanctions that should have and inevitably would have been brought upon her. The major dilemma in this entire case was not based upon whether Andrea Yates had or had not committed the crime of murder five times over on her own flesh and blood or even if she was mentally sick.…

He comes from blood that is very poverty-ridden and lives with a father who is an abusive criminal. The family is forced to move from county to county due to his father's obsession with burning barns belonging to employers that angered him. Sarty knew this was wrong and was faced with betraying his father and his blood. In his young life, he was taught the wrong way to live in a society, yet he still has second thoughts about what his father did, simply because he was is father. The fear of retribution, being at such a young age and witnessing crimes, and his father dealing with families of higher social class, leaves Sarty very confused about his father's actions, which has Sarty reacting differently to each incident throughout the story.…

A hero, legend, great fighter and the most famous “Canadian Hero”, William Avery Bishop, best known as “Billy” Bishop, was a person who had great respect for his country and amazing talent. The history behind Bishops success in World War 1 is very unique, as there are many events surrounding this brilliant hero. With his brutal and dramatic battles in France, Billy Bishop was Canada’s top Ace who had a total of 72 victories within his enemy aircrafts. This led him to winning the respect of his enemies and inspiring a whole new generation of fighter pilots. However, although he is Canada’s best known war hero, he has not escaped controversy. Many people doubt that the presumed greatest flying ace lied about many of his 72 victories and the receiving of some of his awards. However, it is reasonable to argue the number of planes Bishop shot down throughout that terrible conflict is irrelevant. Many people regard Bishop as a hero simply because he continued to persevere for his dreams even through the many obstacles, he battled courageously for the sake of others peace and he achieved major accomplishments on and off the battlefields.…

I'll be full time in the admissions office in June but got pulled in a bit early given the importance of this program. When the admissions office included a mock lecture from 12-1 on June 16 (repeat for group 2 on June 17), I initially went to the course schedule to see who was teaching during the summer – I had no idea you taught a UGS course. When I mentioned to Dr. Leonard Moore that I thought you'd be a great addition to the program, he agreed and suggested I reach out to you. Please let me know if you are available to present a modified 1 hour lecture from your course to the group of talented students and there families. We would love to partner with you in this…

After a few weeks, I received a response from UTC stating that I was accepted and could start fall semester. I was so excited about finishing my education. My major was Healthcare Administration. Older women -- those in their mid-20s and older -- returning to college make up better than half of the evening enrollments in area colleges. Nontraditional students are usually in their mid-20s to mid-40s, enrolling part time vs. full…
