What are the benefits of apps for content owners and creators?

The biggest benefit for content owners and creators is that they can keep track of customers. They constantly get information about preferences, profile, location, ... This creates opportunities to finetune the apps to specific customers.

Will apps eventually make the Web irrelevant? Why or why not?

I don't think apps will completely take over. They will gain in popularity and get more suppliers and users. I think however that the Web will stay around because we still use it to look things up. It collects all the app information on one platform. Right now when you need to know something you still go on the normal platform and look it up. You would have to know which specific app to use for a certain task. I think apps will replace a lot. They are after all the future but they won't completely erase the Web.

The main benefits and opportunities of using the above are as follows. When you have a customer’s information you can work out what they might like. With this information you can send them relevant product information and special offers instead of sending everyone the same e-mails which they might get sick of and completely disregard or even choose a different business. Using the information correctly will build a relationship with the customer which in turn will build customer loyalty which is a very important benefit considering the amount of competition. Amazon is good example of a business using customer information correctly and individualisation for customer relations. They build relationships with customers by monitoring and collecting a customer’s purchase history and sending out personalised advertisements via e-mail, social media and as soon as a customer logs in tin the website. This makes it more personal.…

Josephine is a 47-year-old single woman. The hardest times of the year for Josephine's family are holidays and family gatherings; Josephine never seems to enjoy herself. She seldom smiles, laughs, or reacts to people and events around her. She remains detached and often goes into a room and plays video games or watches TV by herself, even when the rest of the family is eating. Her family members say that she is rude and do not want her around.…

The severity of this of this problem is showing in exhibit 1. Where total case sales of the first 5 months of 1992 were 6,8 million the sales of the first 5 months of 1993 were 15,3 million cases. So that’s an increase of 225% in sales. And when you look at figure 1 you can really see the severity of the problem. Because normally the first five months are only 27,91% of the total sales in a year. So normal sales volume would be 24,3 million cases. But if the increase in demand stays at the same level in the second part of 1993 then total predicted sales for all Snapple products will be 54,8 million cases.…

Why do you think Snapple succeeded in the 1972-1993 phase when so many similar endeavors failed to? Snapple’s success during this period was primarily the result of its personnel, channel and image differentiation. Wendy Kaufman was a spokesperson, who was seen as quirky, likable, and honest. Snapple was sold primarily though cold channels such as street vendors, delicatessens, restaurants, and recreations areas. Snapple was very successful in conveying its identity as a sort of counter culture and non-mainstream beverage that was honest, 100% natural, somewhat edgy, independent, and not a part of corporate America. Snapple had also increased its advertising budget in the later part of this period, along with enlisting the help of a marketing guru to assist in label design.…
