National Junior Honor Society is a great opportunity for me; something that I am really excited to be apart of. I’ve been tossing and turning in bed for the past month wondering what to write or how to prepare myself for such an extraordinary honor to become apart of the NJHS. All through my life I’ve thought of myself as a leader, never a follower. I would love to be apart of this establishment to share my thoughts and ideas for fundraisers and collecting donations, but also to listen and consult of what others have to say because there is no leader without the help of his/her people. I believe I possess all the qualities to be apart of the NJHS; Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character. I enjoy helping the needy and have participated in some charities. For example, the Relay for Life charity that donates money to former or new cancer patients undergoing chemo therapy. My mother and I attend every year and donate money. We also have a grand old time going, participating and helping out because my mother is a breast cancer survivor and my grandma had died from brain cancer so it runs in the family. Being apart of and even being considered to be in NJHS is honestly a complete honor.
Your powers are not in your strengths but in how you use your strengths. To be apart of the NJHS you have to have leadership. A lot of my family and friends have told me I have great leadership skills and I am knowledgeable to use them well under stress or for projects and school group work. For example, my friend Kyra, my mom, and I went to visit my aunt Mela.
