Competencies and Career Interest Profiler
Organizing, delivering results, following instructions, ability to cope with pressure, taking and logical thinking are the key elements to being successful in a management role and these are my strongest competencies. The ability to cope with pressure allows me to discover what I am made of and how I will deal with situations. There are people that deal with situations by avoiding them all together; I have always been one to speak up and be honest. Having this as one of my strengths helps me to communicate effectively with those I come in contact with in the workplace and personal life. Taking initiative is my way of resolving problems quick and peacefully; or in some cases preventing the problem from starting in the first place. My other competency is delivering results and I enjoy knowing someone is depending on me to deliver effective results. Finding creative ways to resolve an issue in the workplace is a challenge I enjoy seeking.
Knowing my competencies will help me evaluate arguments in the sense of when arguments occur I have the ability to successfully cope under the pressures in which an argument is sure to bring. Very little emotion is present and more logical thinking in handling the details and facts. By being aware of the fallacies out there that may create a problem is an effective tool in keeping arguments at a minimal. My competencies will give me the power to advance within my career, gain a higher salary, the chance to promote fairness, in a corporate environment and ability to obtain a position that will offer security with the comforts of knowing that my job is secure.
My professional competencies have giving me success thus far. Reflecting back on my career I have had the pleasure of being in positions that I didn’t have the qualified skills or education to do. The goal I set for myself to learn the job and push to exceed all expectations has allowed me to strengthen my skills. By applying this same attitude while I pursue my degree will allow me to be successful in college and in my future career.
