Cafeteria Story
This is a story of when I fell down in the school cafeteria. This event was very embarrassing at first and I kind of felt sad. After a while, I started laughing with the kids that were laughing at me, so that I wouldn’t feel bad the rest of the day and so that I could get over it. This is my most embarrassing day, but it also one of the funniest days. I learned a very important lesson that day, which is how to turn an embarrassing situation into a bearable situation. It all started on Tuesday August, 21 2012. I woke up at 5:30am to get ready for school. I used the shower and got dressed. After getting dressed, I ate breakfast and started walking to the bus stop and waited for the bus. I got off the bus and went to get my books for my classes. It was a good day. I went through my classes without any problems. I had just left my 5th period class, French, to go to the cafeteria to get something to eat. I walked from French class and waited at the cafeteria doors for my friends, then we went into the cafeteria. We got in line and waited to get our lunch. Waiting in line for my lunch felt as if I was waiting in line for a roller coaster. The line was extremely long and I was getting tired of waiting, but knew I had to wait. I got a chicken sandwich, an apple and a cookie. I went to the lunch lady and paid for my lunch. I went to a small table in front of the cafeteria and got some napkins and ketchup. After getting my lunch, I took it to my table and sat at my table to eat lunch. After a while I got up to stand in the line with my friends again. I wasn’t looking, so I didn’t know that there was water on the floor. I also didn’t see the cautionary sign that says the area is wet and that people should be careful. I slipped and fell so hard the whole cafeteria heard it. I looked up and “BAM” people that where around me started laughing and pointing at me. I was embarrassed and sad and at that very moment I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me. I wanted to be

It started out like any other day. I got out of bed and scrambled to get out the door after I took an extra hour in the shower. I hopped into a seat next to my best friend Erin. We talked for the ten minute ride before finally arriving at school. I sat down in homeroom waiting for the bell to ring. Brrriinnngggg! I rushed to Mrs. Gregory’s room for Lit. Everything was fine until gym class. I had forgotten my assignment notebook in Mrs. Saphir’s room so I ran back upstairs to get it from under my chair. As I started to walk back towards the locker room I heard the bell ring… late! I walked into the locker room hoping Mrs. Dennis wouldn’t notice my tardiness, but my locker is right next to her office. I quickly filled out a minor for before…

I was sitting on one foot with my leg bent under me, and my other leg bent up with my right foot flat on the ground. The outside of my right foot was facing my brother. I was waiting for him to grab something to toss at me, so I decided to turn my head around at the T.V. where…

My ears ring as the old school bus screeches to a halt. We hop off and a dry, winter gust smacks my face. Instantly, my stuffy nose runs. I grasp the cold metal handle of the school door, open it, and slam a piece of wood underneath to keep it ajar. After we become accustomed to the cold shock, Mrs. Cimenski, our director, orders us to haul the heavy wooden tables and a set of four lockers toward our designated area backstage. We struggle through multiple doors and long curtains until we reach our destination. The first aid kit mends our minor cuts and bruises created in the process. Gathering our senses, we collect the makeup and costumes and begin a brisk walk to the classroom assigned to us. The first performance is in an hour and a half,…

Have you ever imagined of a room that sent such a good vibe that you thought it was too good to be true? Well, that is how this lunchroom was. When I walked in the first thing I say was the bright lit faces of the john Adams middle school students.Their faces were so astonishing that it but a big smile on my face. The poster filled walls were a bright baby blue with a hint of green. The tables were stunning. The colors were so remarkable that they were almost blinding. The pillars that stood high were covered with flyers of all colors. But the best thing of all was the smell coming from the cafeteria. It smelled like fresh pizza out of the oven. But what they were serving was much better than pizza, it was cheesy bread sticks. As my waiter…

I was sitting in the classroom when the principal came on the intercom, announcing that the bells would be delayed, and those not staying after school to go to the cafeteria. So several classmates and I started headed to the lunchroom. As we walked in, teachers with panicky and terrified faces frantically directed us to the tables. People were whispering, crying, and yelling and screaming. I sat down at one of the long, smooth, freezing brown tables, waiting anxiously to hear what was happening. I looked around and saw ugly white walls and tons of people. As more students poured in the vast cafeteria, teachers and administrators were walking hurriedly around, with horrified faces, and tear marks streaming down their faces. I, as many others, looked puzzled, student to student, wondering what in the world was going on.…

I headed to my first class which just so happened to be my favorite subject, English. The hallways were very wide but when filled with students I felt like I had to shove my way through just to get to my locker. The lockers were a mixture between Gray and purple. The school colors were supposed to be purple and silver but there was no way that these lockers could be considered. I took a look at the little piece of paper that the lady in the office had given me and tried out the combination on my locker. It took me about five minutes to open it and after struggling for that long I was a little irritated so when it did open, it flew open and slammed into the locker next to mine. I held my breath and hoped that nobody had noticed. I took a long deep breath and slowly opened my eyes again. Luckily I was still standing alone and nobody around was looking at me. I put my extra books and notebooks into the locker and and closed it as quietly as I could.…

After 10 minutes of arguing, I finally gave in and decided to go to school. Just as I thought, people made fun of me. As soon as I walked through the double doors, people literally snapped their necks turning over to see me, and almost everyone immediately started laughing. Some weren’t laughing, but pointing and whispering, as if I didn’t hear them. When I got home, I told my mom how my day went, and she didn’t even feel sympathy for me! “Do not worry about them, boy. They are just mean. Go upstairs and set your stuff down. People are coming over for dinner in twenty minutes.”, she told…

The ball dropped and I was going to have to run after it. All of a sudden, I tripped as I was going after the ball. Luckily, there was someone backing me up to get the ball and throw it in. But instead of having that girl out, we gave her a triple. We were already getting crushed so a lot of people thought it was really funny, including me. But there was one girl that we could tell was really upset. So, by me missing that ball it put someone on the team down. Then she did not play her best for the rest of the game.…
