Buffalo Bill Research Paper

First, Buffalo Bill was born on February 26, 1846 in Iowa. During his early childhood his family moved to Kansas. They did this because they were threatened by slavery and had to move to Kansas territory to stay safe. His dad was stabbed twice in his anti-slavery speech. At age eleven he was a wagon train rider to deliver messages. So Buffalo Bill was already working before he even was a teenager! Once he was fourteen he became part of the pony express to deliver mail. Soon Buffalo Bill became a full time rider.

Next, Buffalo Bill wanted to join the army for the American Civil War but they said he couldn’t because of him being too young to join. At age seventeen he joined the army in 1863 and was ranked as a “Private”. He was soon discharged from the army in 1865. A year later he married a woman named Louisa Frederici and they had four children. Two died young,when they were living in New York. He went back to the army in 1868. He was fighting Indians and fought sixteen battles! When he was not fighting Indians, he was hunting for buffalo for the soldiers (hence the name). It seems that Buffalo Bill has done everything!
Buffalo Bill went to the gold rush. He tried to find gold, but didn’t find anything. Buffalo Bill died in the most ironic way! He caught a kidney disease just like his father! He was also baptized the day before. He was 70 when he died. He was buried in Lookout Mountain in Colorado. So at the end of the day we can see Buffalo Bill as a miner, horse rider, and a
