How can Brown Bag Films develop a strategic plan in order to grow within the next 5 years?
Brown Bag Films have to set new goals and objectives. Afterwards, an internal and external analysis should be made. After that, the new strategies should be made an implemented. Now it is important that Brown Bag Films keeps the scenario planning into their mind. They have to choose the best strategy, but also prepare other scenarios.
A strategic planning might be costly and complex, the process planning still has a lot to offer to Brown Bag Films. With a strategic planning, the goals are more visible and it leads to better communication.
Another good idea for Brown Bag films can be to take a look at the strong points of their competitors and adopt them into their own strategy or to become more innovative.

1. What is strategic management and why is it important? (based on media)
Strategic management is according to balancedscorecard (2014) the comprehensive collection of ongoing activities and processes that are used by organizations to systematically coordinate and align resources and action with mission, vision and strategy of the whole organization.
Strategic management activities transform the static plan into a system that provides strategic performance feedback for making decisions and enables the plan to evolve and grow as requirements and other circumstances change.

An important factor in entrepreneurship is making plans for the future. An entrepreneur needs to know what he wants to reach, how he wants to work and what means he has. Plans for far in the future are not always useful, because new developments can come by. Strategic management is like analyze the situation now and investigate new developments. (Ssandra3108, 2011)
