Brickell Academy: An Experimental Study
Everyone that attends Brickell academy, please rise as we share our ideas about the science project. Remember that you could have choose four ideas which one did you choose. I choose our learning environment. The superior school.

Our school is like a cell wall because it is hard on the outside but protective on the inside. It also is like a cell membrane because it allows students to pass through but, not unwanted visitors. While there protecting the inside the students and teachers all play their part like all of the things in a cell. The engine room is like a Golgi body because it produces energy for the entire cell just like the Golgi body. The jiggly jolt jumpy chloroplasts are like our green great garden. Because, it provides Eco-friendly

But not all cells are alike. Cells come in many shapes and sizes and perform various functions, depending on where they are found (Infographic 3.2). Moreover, they fall into two fundamentally different categories: prokaryotic or eukaryotic. Prokaryotic cells are relatively small and lack internal membrane-bound compartments, called organelles. Eukaryotic cells, by contrast, are much larger and contain many such organelles.…

Mounds Park Academy is an independent private school that offers education for talented students who are motivated to become a part of a community where both academic, and athletic success is celebrated. The school looks to admit students who have shown that they have the ability to master their school curriculum, and who have an enthusiasm for learning. The school firmly believes in family involvement throughout their student's education as the school provides a challenging curriculum in which each student will need support as they grow both developmentally and emotionally. In addition, the school seeks to include both a multicultural and diverse community, therefore not discriminating against admission of students on any grounds related to religion, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or class status.…

    What Is Life Worksheet

The video uses something people are familiar with as a learning base and that is a city’s structure. The video was easy to relate to and understand for the most part. It begins with big organisms and works down to molecules. A cell is the smallest unit of life and is so small you cannot see them with the naked eye. People are big organisms and made up with a system of organs (i.e. the digestive system). Organs systems are comprised of individual organs, and they in turn are comprised of tissues. Tissues are groups of cells. A cell in turn contains organelles and molecules. There are single cell organisms such as bacteria and algae that are called prokaryotes. The cells that makeup plants and animals are called eukaryote cells. The prokaryote has no membrane-bound nucleus and floats, while the eukaryote cell is membrane-bound nucleus and does not float. Cells have many parts and functions like a mini city. The parts are called organelles. First, you have the plasma cell membrane that functions as a gate or fence. The nucleus functions like the capital with instructions of what to do. The mitochondria are the power plant and produces energy called ATP. The ribosomes are the factories that translate information into proteins that do the work in the cells. The Golgi functions as a post office and the endoplasmic reticulum is the highways. The protein vesicles are the trucks on the highways and the lysosome is the trash collector. Now the eukaryotic cell has two types and they are plant and animal cells. Plant cells have a wall around the plasma cell membrane and animal cells just have the membrane. The plant cell as one big vacuole and the animal had a few small ones. The vacuoles stores molecules that the cell needs and quarantines harmful materials. All of these works together to form the inter-workings of life. Basically, everything is…

Recently, staff and student’s of Dr. Charles P De Fuccio School, Ps. 39, suffered the loss of their dear 8th-grade teacher, Ms. Henderson. Due to my close acquaintance with this particular teacher, I too was personally affected by her passing. As with any death, it is difficult to process and proceed with life as it was. However, this tragedy didn't affect any of the services McGowan provides. One reason for services remaining unaffected attributes to McGowen’s pre-planning. Subsequently, pre-planning for such events aids in decreasing complications that would normally arise where there isn’t a plan in place. McGowan states that she frequently attends various training and workshops for subjects like bullying, school-based tragedies, and…

    Hi Olivia Poem Summary

Hi Olivia. I had not thought of this analogy, and to realize they both have the word “wall” to describe their functions. Pretty clever I’d say. Thinking of the walls and the roof of the factory, it made me think of the floor and what it could be in a factory, which I’d say could be related to the cytoplasm in a cell. Because the cell wall in a call may act as the walls for the factory like you said, and the floor is inside all the rooms covered by walls, the floor might as well be the cytoplasm. Don’t you think? Which then brings all the rest of the organelles inside the factory. Great post overall.…

    One Room Schoolhouse

The one room school house of the past required one teacher to meet the needs of many, usually in isolation, with limited resources and inferior materials. The legacy of the one room school house is deeply steeped into the modern education system, the effects of which make teaching difficult, especially for the novice teacher. Most teachers enter the education field with positive attitudes and lofty goals. They believe they can make a difference in the lives of their students. Difficulties in the classroom often overshadow their enthusiasm. Beginning teachers often leave the field of education due to frustration, disillusionment and negative experiences in the classroom. Three aspects of the legacy of the one room school house which are particularly difficult for new teachers are inadequate induction programs, inequity in the work place, and isolation in the classroom.…
