Brandom Vandenburg Case Study

In June of 2013, Brandom Vandenburg and two other young males raped an “unconscious female student” at Vanderbilt University located in Nashville, Tennessee. At the time Vandenburg and the victim were dating, and he was a member of the Vanderbilt football team. Vandenburg took the victim into a dorm room, and with the help of three other teammates from the football team, they raped her. The case went to court where Vandenburg was charged “five counts of aggravated rape, two counts of aggravated sexual battery, and one count of unlawful photography.” Vandenburg blames his ignorance with alcohol for the reason why he raped his at the time girlfriend.
