For example, Denver’s altitude is way higher than Wildwood’s. Denver’s nickname is the “Mile High City” and with the altitude being so high causes the humidity to go down on a daily basis. Wildwood’s humidity right now is 62% while Denver’s is 23%. So yes, these cities have polar opposite climates. Denver and Wildwoods climate are pretty different but they do have some similarities. For example, the average temperatures for each season are very similar. Denver’s are, Fall 60 degrees, Winter 44 degrees, Spring 66 degrees, and Summer 83. And Wildwood’s are Fall 57 degrees, Winter 38 degrees, Spring 64 degrees, and Summer 91 degrees. These overall temperatures for both cities aren’t completely different. The climate effects these two cities in ways that most people wouldn’t think of. (Most of the time it is colder than that) When it is that cold outside you can’t go and play at the park or go ride your bikes. Sometimes it gets so cold outside we have to start are car 10 minutes early before we leave so it isn’t so cold when we get in. Not only do people that live here never get to go outside but some of the fresh fruits are not sold during the winter because we don’t have the conditions for the fruit or vegetables to grow. Fruits like watermelon, honeydew, strawberries, some bananas and other fruits are not available in most grocery stores during the months of December- early March. Some other activities people living in cold, snowy climates is when it snows or there is an ice storm you have to be careful driving if they haven’t salted the roads and shovel the…

Thoreau lies along Interstate 40 and the historic U.S. Route 66. The climate in Thoreau is desert, with sparse vegetation typical of the region. Common plants include pinyon pine and juniper trees, sagebrush, tumbleweeds, and some short, sparse grasses. Summers are relatively mild, due to Thoreau's high elevation and persistently low humidity. Cold, persistent, very high winds are common in spring, usually through much of the month of March.…

To begin, Florida known as “the sunshine state” hooks you in as soon as you enter the state. The beautiful palm trees blowing in the wind, the numerous orange groves you see from the roadside and the welcome center offering fresh squeezed orange juice makes you feel so at home. There are so many beautiful exotic looking flowers in the landscaping of homes and businesses. Of course, the warmer climate is the main attraction in Florida. The annual average high is 79F degrees and the average low is 57F degrees. Snow rarely falls in most of Florida, but has on occasion in the northern peninsula. Florida also has an abundant annual rainfall especially during the months of June through September. In addition, Florida is located between the Atlantic Ocean and The Gulf of Mexico, therefore it also has exceptionally high humidity and of course there is always a chance of hurricanes as well. Undoubtedly, both of these items are a major downfall to me.…

Many of these trails cannot be traveled to without the means of an off road machine or a serious hike on foot. One of my favorite places to ride is between Francis Peak and Bountiful Peak. There is a trail there that my friends and I always ride. The trail is called Buckland flats. This is not an easy ride, but once we’ve reached the top the views are extraordinary. We can see the entire valley to the west as well as everything to the east, but this isn’t the only exciting part of riding. The wildlife that we can see is amazing as well.…
