Black Lives Matter: Protest Against Racial Discrimination
Black Lives Matter was created in 2013 after the murder of Trayvon Martin. Black Lives Matter is a protest against anti-black racism. The movement is being supported by many other blacks and even networks such as B.E.T. This protest wants all blacks to be treated equal to any other person, BLM wants to also make sure the disabled blacks, black undocumented black trans all blacks get treated right. BLM wants to stop the killings and mistreated ways the police and viligants are treating them. The movement grew stronger after the death of two unarmed blacks last year . The background of blacks in amercia was that they were slaves. Laws were also passed in English North America forbidding marriage between whites and blacks. Most laws implied

White people would be treated diffrently then blacks, whites would work but blacks would work much harer and whites would get payed much more. Blacks would be lucky to even get paid. White Privilege is the other side of racism. White people born in africa has privllage that african americans dont get to have. White privlage racist beliefs like “White people are smarter than people of color,” or “White people make better teachers.” This benifited whites but made blacks suffer.
Another example woud be if a black man and a white man were in a room alone and the white beat up the black even with evidence, the black will get blamed and get arrested.
America has improved with racism tremendously throught the years. Racism isnt so bad but sadaly still occurs today , for example a black man was in his car and he got pulled over and the cop shot him 3 times because she thought he was carrying a weapon. We can improve this situations of racism today by giving the blacks the benifit of the doubt and move foward and forget the past. This is important to american history because it what made this nation strong and big. America just had a black president for over 3 years. Blacks are equal just like whites and get treated the same
