Biblical Worldview
Since becoming a Christian Genesis 1-11 has greatly impacted my worldview. My worldview of the natural world is that God created everything out of nothing. My human identity worldview is God made us in his image so our identity is in him. My worldview of human relationships are that we are not meant to be alone and how we can easily be lead away from God by other people. My civilization worldview is that as a civilization we can become evil and turn away from God breaking his heart. So Genesis has really taught me the proper worldview. Everything was created by God, in the beginning God created the heavens and earth. (Genesis 1:1) For me this means to treat everything with the same love and respect that I give God, to not love and respect the creation is to not love and respect the creator. His creation is what proves he is real to me, all of the beauty on earth could not have happened any other way. The popular belief of an explosion creating earth is insane, the only thing I have seen an explosion cause is destruction. His creation shows me that he loves not only us but the earth also, he could have made it all look the same. He made it all beautiful, he is the greatest artist of all time. My worldview of human identity is that we are made in his image and we were made to fellowship with him. So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them (Genesis 1:27). To me this means that we are created to love out of love and we have free will because he has free will. He gave us all of him, I do not think it means we are made in his physical image. I also have the view that we are made to fellowship with him. Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden (genesis 3:8).
