Bed Coordinator Research Paper
CHAPETER 5

The head manager who is over all operations of every hospital pulled me into his office to ask you why he was not informed that was wanting to advance in our department. I explained to him that the manager under him told me that I was unable to apply because I did not have any type of degree. I was told that my interest in wanting to advance is noted by what open positions I apply for, and that from here on out I needed to put my name on everything. Then he set me up for an interview for the Bed Coordinator. Then he asked me questions like why did I want to have the position of Bed Coordinator and also questions about myself and my education.
This interview was supposed to take three or four weeks. I actually got called in the next day and they set up an interview for the following

That associate’s degree would give me a little head start becoming a social worker for my master’s degree. I only have two semesters to complete at Sinclair Community College. So I filled out all of the necessary paperwork so that my company can pay for these classes. I have turned in everything that was required and hopefully I get approved. I'm also letting them know that I am interested in job shadowing. So now instead of moving up in the Environmental Services I would rather go to outside the department and advance my career in the health field that way. I was told later that if you have more education then the person that is interviewing you that they may feel intimidated. And she didn't pick because I have more education than her. Another manager position has come up since then and I did not apply for it. I would rather focus on my education. That way I have a better chance for job advancement without having to take tiny steps to get there. I do not want to move up in my department and get distracted from my ultimate

The imaginary invention I like the most is “Dreamaker Pillow”. The purpose of Dreamaker Pillow is to help people with insomnia by creating dreams. All you have to do to make a dream is downloading your favorite scenes from movies onto cell phone, taking selfies and sleeping with Dreamaker Pillow. This will make it easier to sleep. One thing I like about this pillow is that I can create my own dreams. Though it takes time to create dreams without given plots. But this pillow is definitely going to help me with my sleep problem.…

It is not uncommon that sometimes people are assigned the job that they do not like, and I am no exception from such case. I was assigned the role of a Night-crew Nurturer but there are two reasons why I feel that this is a bad job for me. The first of which is that being a nurturer at night is a waste of my skills. According to the book “The Giver”, Night-crew Nurturer is a less than common job which is assigned to the people who do not take an interest or have the required skills needed for more essential daytime tasks. As for me, I have interests in other jobs in the daytime; jobs that require the skills which I believe I possess. Another reason for which I believe I was assigned the wrong job is that I can connect very well with others…

Sleeping on your stomach is not the best sleeping position for your back and your neck, since it does not perfectly align the person’s spine. The heaviest part of your body is around the middle area so it prevents a neutral spine alignment. If the spine is not aligned well, this can cause stress on your back and certain numbness as you wake up. It can also cause a herniated disk on your neck if the spine is not well aligned.…

Co-sleeping is a practice used by as many as 40% of parents, in which they have the baby sleep either in the bed with them at night or in a connected crib. There have been proven to be many benefits of co-sleeping which include increased bonding, increased breastfeeding, and faster reaction times to the babies cries at night. Parents number 1 fears or reason why they think they shouldn't co-sleep is the fear that at some time during the night their child might accidentally be suffocated by themselves or the blankets on the bed. Many studies have been conducted to try and find a link between sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and co-sleeping. While some are able to debunk the idea that co-sleeping is directly correlated to SIDS researches…

This has caused a line of issues including one being adding more pressure to the ‘Bed Crisis’. In 1955 there was 15,000 beds available for service, in 2012, a re-evaluation was done and beds have dropped at least 40% being about 22,300 beds available across the United Kingdom. Before the cuts, over the past 10 to 15 year’s of questions have been raised repeatedly about whether a minimum safe level of beds was reached (Bhugra 2013; cited through the kings fund 2015). When beds become unavailable to a patient, they usually get transferred to a facility outside their area, most likely to a private hospital. An Experimental research developed by the care quality commission and health and social care information centre discovering that in the years between 2012 and 2013, 4.4 percent and 4.9 percent were found to have been admitted to out of area from their homes (Care Quality Commission, 2015). Supporting this research…

Sleeping with a baby seemed normal to me. I never thought about dangers or how it could go wrong. Right now I have 5 nephews, and each of them I know their mother ended up sleeping in the same bed, or on the couch with them, when they were breastfeeding. Even when I baby sat, I would sometimes fall asleep with them in my arms when they were young. There are many different views on co-sleeping, and the detriment/ benefits of it. Co-sleeping is defined as a parent and baby share a bed, according to the March of Dimes. There are obvious reasons why sleeping with your baby could result badly: getting trapped by the bed frame, falling off the bed, being smothered by blankets, or getting rolled on (March of Dimes, 1). But a big question that arose…

Although taboo in Western culture, co-sleeping is making a comeback. After the retraction of previous statements against co-sleeping, Dr. Richard Ferber, child sleep guru, has now sided with a family’s decision to share a bed with their infants. Although the American Society of Pediatrics warns that sleeping with your infant can increase the risk of sudden infant death syndrome, the exact cause of SIDS is still unknown. The emotional benefits of sharing a bed with your baby can be enormous and some would argue that engaging in co-sleeping strengthens the bond between parent and child.…
