Racist Australian and he thoughts on immigrants
Asians
Damn migrants, ever since they came here nothing good has happened, I live next to a old Asian man, doesn’t speak a damn English word, I remember once, my misses asked me to go next door and ask if they had any sugar, cause my wife was baking a cake, so I went up to their door and knocked. When the old Asian man open the door I said “G’day mate, can I borrow some sugar?” he looked at me for a solid minute. I could tell he didn’t understand a word I said. He went inside and came back out with a bag of rice. I didn’t’ t know what to do so I took the rice and ran. I got inside my house and slapped myself on the head, how the hell is my wife going to bake a cake with a bag of rice.
Asians I see them around everywhere now, there is not one place I can go, to get away from them. I mean ,we already gave them China town what more can they want. I go to the local food court in my shopping centre and the sushi place is full of them. At my sons school, there is always that one Asian kid top of the class, how is my son suppose compete against him. I heard Asian parents lock their children in and room and make them study 24/7, I’m not going to do that my son, so he stands no chance against them.
Asian drivers, takes them a couple hours to parallel park. I say don’t give them a license, save some time on the road. I’m not racist but all I’m saying is, if they can’t park then they shouldn’t get their licence. I’m got nothing against Asians, just the small things.
Muslims
Muslims, why do they have to wear their little hood, I mean it’s like 40 degrees outside and they still got it on, I don’t know what for it’s not like I’m going to be checking them out. I see all around the place when I go late night at Garden City, all around the car parks and bus stops, they make it hard for me to see why they moved to Australia. Wearing them track pants and big jumpers looking all suss, I sure wouldn’t

Time and again inhabitants of the United States resented new immigrants and foreigners, Ironically, the original settlers were immigrants themselves, and the definition of “foreigner” changed frequently as immigrants settle in, became “American”, and brand new wave of foreign immigrants swept in to take jobs from “Americans”. This resentment of long-distance immigrants is seen not only in the United States, but all over the world, in as diverse places as Great Britain and China, and this xenophobic view of change is not at all new. When the Irish and Germans immigrated to the United States, they were disliked by the Anglo-Saxon Protestants; when immigrants from Eastern Europe arrived, they were resented by the now American Irish and Germans; when Chinese railroad workers and gold miners arrived, they were certainly not welcomed by the totally “American” population. Though these long-distance immigrants hailed from different places over time, the pattern of distrust and hostility persisted in the United States and elsewhere.…

Immigrants in Australia have been despised upon in our recent years due to Australian patriotism, racism and fear of terrorism. Racism is a hefty dispute in Australia and that is really oppressing, not only is 40% of Australians are racist, which is 9.6 out of 24 million people, but we also have a political party in the government that is produced out of pure racism, or the 9.6 million would say Patriotism. Now Pauline Hanson is known for saying extremely racist things publicly, she’s the Australian version of Donald…

One thing that I hate is when people are made fun of or people tend to generalized everyone from one culture. This is an issue that I have been standing out for. I have to explain to others that just because someone is the way they are or have done something that is not correct that does not mean that everyone from that culture is the same. I am very outspoken when it comes to this matter. This has set me up for others to isolate me. Sometimes people lack of knowledge because they do not seek information about other cultures or whatever reason they have they tend to isolate others because they do not fit in their world.…

Not all Asian American’s are outstanding people who have no problems. All of us do not share success. Some of us have learning complications, cannot speak English very well, and lack enthusiasm. Most of our parents who do not understand the American culture here in the United States often face cultural transformations, linguistic barriers, etc. as well. In the workplace, we are often overlooked. It is hard for us to find employment, even if we are qualified for the profession. While obtaining our education, we are often times held to a high standard set by our educators which can be detrimental to our mental health and wellbeing. We are assumed to be brilliant, hard-working, over achievers that is guaranteed a successful future. Throughout my period in different schools, expectations for me have always been high because of the fact that I am an Asian American man. Comments such as “Oh, you’re Asian, so you must be smart!”, “You failed your chemistry test? But you’re Asian!” have always been thrown at…

As a recent immigrant myself I see a great value in the programs like cultural orientation for the new members of our community. Ascentria provides services for people of various cultural and social backgrounds. Lack of knowledge about the peculiarities of American culture, social norms as well as the ways this society functions can not only put the newcomers in uncomfortable situations, but also compromise their safety and security. I believe it is critical to provide the people who are to make this country their new home with all the necessary information, which would help their adaptation and integration into the American society.…

There are papers written about how these people don’t have the right to be an American citizen. On a political cartoon there is a wall that is blocking the Asians from being able to get to America. It is seen how the Americans felt. There is also a ladder falling with a man attempting to get over the wall. It symbolizes the want for the immigrants who wanted to be in America so badly. The Americans are also looking down on the Asians showing a feeling of dominance (Source J). In one document there is a explanation on why the immigrants didn’t need to be in America. The writer says that “They have none of the inherited instincts and tendencies which made it comparatively easy to deal with the immigration of the olden days” meaning that the immigrants did not have the same culture as the Americans did and it angered them (Walker). It can be seen that immigration also changed over time. In a pie chart there is a visual sign of the change in who was coming over to America. It went from 93% of Northern and western Europeans to only 61%. The Asian population dropped from 1% to .5%. All of these numbers showed a dominance in people who looked more like Americans than the others (Source H). One person, Mary Antin, attempted to stick up for those people says that it was unconstitutional and incorrect. Even with these statements being as true as can…

Nowadays, Chinese immigrants are all over the world, and they work across various industries to serve the country and the public. However, not many can imagine how difficult of a condition the Chinese immigrants were forced to live in in the late 19th century. The racism summarized in the television broadcast “Chinese immigration: Not welcome anymore” causes me to think deeply about humanity, especially why the Chinese immigrants were treated with inequality and abandoned after they served the country. This will be made clear through the acts of injustice, prejudice, and dehumanization revealed in the video.…

Leaving everything behind in hopes of a new start is the purpose of every immigrants arriving to America. Despite leaving all their troubles behinds, immigrants still have to face other problems when assimilating in America. Sympathy for the immigrants can arise from the readers because of the difficulties they encountered, but it is suppressed because Doctorow composed the future of the new immigrants through the present time of the old immigrants. Doctorow implies that the harsh treatment towards the new immigrants from the old immigrants will be the same repetitive cycle; new immigrants are resented and then they will resent the new group of…

Children are vulnerable to health threats because they are smaller and their bodies have a harder time fighting off disease. Immigrant children are more susceptible to disease or illness because many immigrant children received low health care and nutriment. Immigrants often were impoverish so the parents of immigrant children could not afford quality health care. Food was also a struggle for many new immigrants therefore immigrant children were malnourished. The lack of food and health care made immigrant children more likely to catch a disease in their often substandard living environment. New York City schools tried to address these dangers by screening for disease at school implementing health standards for the faculty and students, and…

How are people 'racist' because they do not want to cater or accommodate to people who do not even bother to learn English at all when they peregrinate to this country. It's not racist you twat. Why do people call others racist because they disagree with someone’s viewpoint? Do you even understand the definition of racism? Many people in this country only understand English. How can one communicate appropriately when you haven't learned their language they are verbalizing? I don't care if people speak a different language in general. I genuinely encourage people to learn a foreign language. It’s posited to surmise people to understand a foreign language when they have a job to do. Do you think people have the luxury of taking time to avail…

Most of these things only happen to them and not other people, and this is really cruel. The first example that happens to them is that when a police officer finds out that a person is an illegal immigrant, some police officers can be very violent to them. The police officer can hit them and beat them up just because they are an illegal immigrant. Right after this happens, the police officer deports them back to their country. Immigrants come here to have a better life, but they are always harassed. Another thing that happens to them when they come to the U.S is that a lot of immigrants are uninsured because of who they are. When immigrants have a medical problem, they come to the hospital, but the hospital won’t help them. When immigrants try to get insurance, they get turned away. The final thing that happens to them is that they are discriminated. They are discriminated by others who don’t accept them because they think they are different just because of where they come from and what they look like. (Carrilo, Elsa.”Immigration Treated Unfairly”.) A lot of stuff happens to immigrants when they come to the…

My name is Grace Lin and I am a 14 year old girl from South Vietnam. I grew up in a small village with my parents and 2 sisters while my country was under attack. We tried to escape the war in our country several times but we were never successful until finally we got onto a small boat headed for Malaysia. There were 34 of us 'asylum seekers' on board and after only two days we ran out of fresh water and had to depend on fruit to keep us hydrated.…

Do you know what immigration means? According to Dictionary.com, immigration means the movement of non-native into a country in order to settle those who had been in the country for years. I believe the immigration is bad, because there has to be many reasons for the “Immigrants” to be here. For an example mexican risk their lives to come here and escape many thing that are making their lives harder than it has to be. Many suffer from economical issues, wanting them to have a better life so they cross the border to achieve their goals on having more money, a better living condition and, a non-violence life. I believe immigration is bad because it can separate family members, make them lose connection between one another.…
