Band Nerds In School

In a world filled with boring schools, we may ask ourselves, "What can spice things up a bit?" Well, the answer to that would be fun classes and activities. They help our school from being dull and boring, and they add a special spark to our institution. Speaking of which, a great class offered by my school is the band. Yes, I know what everyone must think. They think of the band and then they immediately call us "band nerds." It may not be the "coolest" thing to everyone else, but it comes with major benefits. First off, we go to all of the ball games. We get the entire halftime dedicated to us and, listen to this, the ball games ARE FREE for all of us band students! Then second, we march in all of the Christmas parades! It makes me ecstatic to show off our musical talents and see all of the floats up close at the same time. Last, we "band nerds" go on amazing, after school summer trips. Boy, do we have fun, too! I have countless of stories with just one band trip alone. I could talk all day and everyday explaining why ball games are such enjoyment. To start with, it is a no brainer, marching and playing during halftime is the best part. I love having the lights shining on my face and all eyes set on me giving me their attention. I do not love constantly attempting to not fall on my face, of course, but in the end it is all one big, amazing rush nonetheless. Then next, playing in the stands and riling up the crowd even more while they watch the game. It is exceedingly enjoyable to get the crowd to respond to songs such as "Go Big Blue" and our cadence. It seriously adds to the excitement of the game. Last, there is the obvious, getting to hang out with my friends and have a good time makes the games better a 100%. I get to have fun with
