Bad News Monologue
Hello Hanny and Paul, Thanks again for your emails, I was planning to write to you earlier but I didn't have much ambition since I had another bad flu. For years I have been lucky, hardly got sick at all with the flu or cold, at worst very mild ones. The last few years, but especially this fall and now into January, I've been sick several times and now I have my persistent cough back, annoying. It may have to do with the mild winters we have lately at least some people suggest a link with that. It looks like next week at least we'll go below freezing but it has been very mild here.

You guys are still very active and do a lot, i have become a bit more sedentary and lazy haha. It is impressive that Paul still is so active with bicycling and

Thanks for links with the additional videos, he is pretty good. I also have been watching the NOS news via the Internet just to see how the American politics is reported in Holland. The news in the U.S and here as well as in Holland is often distorted and over-simplified. United States has enormous problems that have been festering for years. Trump has identified a lot of very bad situations that haven’t been addressed for years. If you look at some of those problems soberly and objectively, it's about time somebody is trying to do something about them. I just hope Trump doesn’t screw it up with his bold and forceful approach. The illegal immigration has been going on for over 40 years and nobody had the political will to do anything about it. There are estimates on how many people are in the country illegally, the official estimate is 11 million but most people think it's well over 20 million but they are illegal so how would you know for sure. What country would issue driver's licenses and give welfare assistance to people that are illegally in the country? it's just absurd. What country would have a president (Obama) that would encourage illegal immigrants to vote in the federal election? (Video on YT). Due to the totally open border with Mexico, Mexico has become a very dangerous place (and many cities in the U.S.). Mexican, South and Central American drug cartels all pouring the drugs

After hearing his speech for me personally, it surprised me that we still have this problem in the world today. I thought as the world that we were past child labor and sadly we are not. It's sad to see kids that cant even understand whats going because they have not fully developed being forced by adults to do work for free. The toll that it takes on the child not just mentally but physically down the road because of the terrible working conditions. I just want everyone to get a fair shot and because of child labor, it feels like they don't even get a chance and that's what truly saddens…

That’s just great. My niece decided to leave her children here. I don't remember seeing a sign in front of my house designating it as a daycare center. It's not a place where you drop your children off on date night. I'm not a free babysitter. I am a grown man and I am getting tired of this. Therefore, I'm going to tell you all a story about me. One that I hope you tell your parents. Maybe then they'll stop dropping you off here and my future will have fewer interruptions. I rather be watching baseball god dammit.…

Step by wicked step, my boots sank further and further into the thick, red-tinged land as if the devil himself were dragging my body straight into the depths of hell. The rhythmic squelching stabbed through my rubber soles, radiating pain throughout my soul as it seared everything in its path. Squelch, squelch, squish. My tempo was interrupted by those cursed boots refusing to budge from the stubborn terrain. As if taunting me, the earth unhooked my feet from the damned soil…

The bitter night Avah was killed the whole town was out celebrating. The Spring Festival was an annual affair and only the most isolated of persons would have not been there. It was a festival meticulously planned out by those intrigued in such matters and each detail was carried out to exact perfection. The Humphrey family would perform a skit each year at exactly six-thirty, the mayor would grace the audience with a well-planned speech at six-forty-five. At seven o’clock the potluck dessert would be brought out by the women and then once a half hour had passed, enough time for the people to converse with each other, the festival games would begin.…

In the second grade, I had a crippling fear of my teacher, who loved to play, “Let's pick on all the students who aren’t raising their hands.” In my imagination, school was where carnivorous teachers scanned the classroom, looking to slaughter the most helpless creatures. And it seemed like this one had clear intentions of mounting my prized head on the wall. This meant that I suffered from a chronic case of rapid heartbeat, timid eye contact, and tense palms that left imprints of red crescent moons on my thighs.…

I know you said you weren't trying to hurt me. I know you said you were trying to do this the best way you knew how. But when you stood there with your knife at my throat, and I begged you please, you still pressed it in. You heard me scream and beg, and you still dug deeper, until you couldn't hear me anymore. You could hear the blood gushing to the floor, the universe's way of saying you'd fucked up. But you'd already ripped out my throat, you couldn't go back from that.…
