Avatar and Adam and Eve

Unobtainable According to the bible God created man and woman. He created a man from the dust and blowing life into his nose. He planted a garden, the Garden of Eden, and put the man there, to work it and watch over it. He had told Adam he could eat any of the trees in the garden except for the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. God had already created the animals, and when Adam tried to find a mate, none of the animals were acceptable. So god put the man to sleep, and created a woman from his rib. The man named her "Woman”. The man and woman were naked, and were not ashamed. The serpent tempted the woman to eat from the tree of knowledge, and told her that you will become like god and it will not lead to death. Eve gave in to the temptation and gave the fruit to the man, who ate the fruit also. They soon became aware of their nakedness, so they made coverings of fig leaves, and hid from God. God asked them about what they had done. Adam blamed Eve, and Eve blamed the serpent. God then cursed Adam and Eve with hard labor and with pain in childbirth, and banished them from his garden. God set an angel at the gate who led their way to the Tree of Life. The 2009 motion picture Avatar was set in the planet Pandora in the year 2154. It is about a marine, Jake Sully, and how he interacts with the natives of Pandora, the Na’vi, through his avatar body. Avatar uses the symbols and ideas of the story of Adam and Eve. The Home Tree is the home for the entire Na’vi clan. The home tree is symbolic of the Tree of Life from the Garden of Eden. The knowledge of good and evil is under the Home Tree, Unobtanium. The marines are trying to knock it down to get to it because one earth it is worth more than $80,000,000 an ounce. They were never successful with obtaining the Unobtanium. The symbolism of Unobtainium is obviously ”unobtainable”. Just like promise of the serpent of the garden, that Adam and Eve would become fully like God was also ultimately unobtainable.
