Should professional athletes be required to stand and salute the flag during the Pledge of Allegiance? Should professional athletes have to do what they do not believe in? In fact, this topic is a major issue in America. Even more important players are not standing or saluting during the Pledge of Allegiance because they want change. Professional athletes should not be required to stand and salute the flag during the Pledge of Allegiance because they have freedom to express their beliefs, they want to pay respect to people of color and the way their being treated, and because they do not feel the flag represents freedom.
