I’d be able to take on more responsibilities in the school and community as well as helping my fellow students in their endeavours. I would be in a position where I’d be more readily able to use my leadership skill in helping others, and guiding them to obtain a better control over their surroundings. If I were to be invited to become a member of the NHS, I’d desire to be influenced by the best the school has to offer and hopefully make my mark on others lives as the one who is dependable, trustworthy and above all else willing to do anything to brighten another's’ day. In summation, being a part of the National Honor Society would better my life in innumerable ways while I aim to do the same for others around…
I am honored to be considered for membership in the National Honors Society (NHS). As I have become more acquainted with NHS, I have become more excited to be a part of this organization. I believe the NHS has a significant, positive impact on our communities and being apart of this is important to me. If I am privileged to be admitted to NHS, I believe that I will be able to make a notable contribution.…
The four pillars of National Honor Society – character, leadership, scholarship, and service – are the attributes that define the society’s members. Therefore, all pillars are important for students to follow, so that they may benefit the world and make a difference. Character, for instance, is the product of relentlessly striving to make the right choices, one after the other. Furthermore, young leaders displaying initiative, self-sacrifice, determination, and confidence can lead anything to greatness.…
The four pillars for National Honor Society are scholarship, leadership, service, and character are essential to be in the NHS. You need to be a leader and set a good example, give back, have knowledge, and have good character to better the future. Being in the NHS brings new opportunities to better myself and the community. In many ways I believe I model each of these requirements, some more than others.…
The four pillars of the National Honor Society; scholarship, leadership, character, and service are the four qualities of a well-rounded individual. They have not only embodied who I strive to be, but have helped me achieve success and impact throughout my local community and my time as a national honor society member. Scholarship has helped me define not only who I am as a student, but has helped me prepare for my future. Without my drive to maintain my academics and pursue knowledge, I would not have discovered my love and passion for teaching. This newly discovered passion has helped me narrow down my future career, special education. Service, has helped me develop one of my individual characteristics, as I now understand the importance…
Being a member in National Honor Society implies that you are a person of great character. One of the most important qualities that you can possess is leadership. Honesty is one of the key factors to being a good leader. You must be honest towards everyone, and in everything that you do. If a leader wasn't honest, then no one would trust them. And if they weren't trustworthy then who would want to follow their lead? Leadership also requires that you have an optimistic attitude about everything. You have to take control, and look for the best in every situation. No one wants to follow someone who is always in a bad mood, and always looks for something to complain about.…
As quite the introvert, I never would have imagined myself as the secretary of such a renowned organization: the National Honor Society. However, I had decided to take on the challenge of running for board, requiring me to give a speech to our 500+ NHS members. My strengths did not lie in public speaking or persuasion like the other candidates. Instead, my speech involved me singing Mulan’s “Be a Man,” using ingenuity and humor to win over opinions. I believe that pushing yourself into an unfamiliar situation is the best way to learn and grow, as this approach demands problem solving and innovative thinking. NHS has pushed me to be more outgoing and active in the community by giving me the privilege of leadership, and I would definitely serve…
Being accepted as a member of National Honors Society is a magnificent accomplishment for anyone to whom it is granted. I do everything in my capacity to be the absolute best that i am able to be. I am very honored of being eligible to become a member of the National Honors Society, becoming a member of the NHS has been one of my major goals throughout my highschool career. It would be a great privilege to represent the NHS as a student with scholarship, leadership, service and character. I believe that as a student I represent these Four Pillars. For instance scholarship represents the hard work that as a student you put into your academics, but to me academics is something that I care much about and take very seriously. I always put effort towards my work by always being responsible and challenging myself to improve in what I have difficulty with. Academics isn’t just simply earning good grades but it is a way that I can improve…
This society showcases reliability, dependability, leadership, ethics, morality, loyalty to school, and exceptional grades. If I am chosen to be in the NHS, I will work hard to make the society better by volunteering and contributing all that I can, and to also help other members that are a part of the National Honor Society grow. I will also strive to help my peers achieve their goals and personal success that they will, intern, use to better themselves in the long run. If I am chosen to be in the National Honor Society I will give suggestions on how to make, not just my school, but my community better as well. If I became a member of the Nation Honor Society I will cherish this wonderful opportunity, learn to follow then grow to lead and always be involved in my…

Scholarship, leadership, service, and character and all words that have a significant weight on me. These words are the foundation of everything I need in order to succeed in life. Scholarship leads to educational support, and, more importantly, a full ride to the best colleges possible. Leadership and character are quality traits that will eventually lead to getting people to trust you. Doing my part in servicing my community and the people around me will lead to a lifetime of happiness and blessings. Neither of these attributes succeed the other, they are all of their own importance to me.…
The National Honors Society is more than just a honor roll, but an organization that recognizes the efforts made by hard working high school students. I would like to join National Honors Society because it would challenge my development in both my community and my school. The National Honors Society, consisting of over one million students, would make me a part of a large community that could create many opportunities for me in the future. A highly respected organization such as the National Honors Society is very significant to me. The scholarships and programs offered by this organization helps increase my ability to get the education that I desire that I might not have been able to receive due to the rapidly rising costs of college. Every…
Unlike some National Honor Society members, I put aside time in my busy schedule to commit to events that I sign up for. I am a member who wants to volunteer and make a difference in people’s lives, not just to complete the required hours for the year. The National Honor Society has not only taught me that there is more to myself and my abilities than I once saw, but it also taught me a life lesson of how important it is in life to respect and be kind to those around…
Being a nominee, I realize that the National Honor Society is an honor to be in itself. Since The National Honor Society is dedicated to helping the needy, children, the elderly and non-profit organizations. I feel that this is the right society for me because since I was a child, I have been noted for my exceptional empathy. My parents have always instilled in me a sense of responsibility and care for others. I feel obligated to utilize my gifts in an organization as prestigious as the National Honor Society. Over the past years as a scholar, I believe that I have demonstrated all four principles: scholarship, leadership, character, and service.…
