Good afternoon Elise,

Great quote to pick out as it is evident in Rheingold's message throughout the reading. Rheingold believes that technology itself and a person nature does not determine who is in control but recognizes that people may try to shut down and hinder resources and freedom it may project. So it is up to the individual to decide what information is important and what information to discard. As you stated before, Rheingold want to convey is that use the five skills to talk to others and also to share in an effective way.

I like your stance on Rheingold point. You believe that it is a more societal factor that determine what information is important . It reminds me of Boyd statement, "Because of how American society constructs
