Argumentative Essay: Should Trophy Hunting Be Legal?
Will humans and animals ever get along? Will the rules made for preserving life always be followed? Is a curtain species more important than the other? The sport of trophy hunting should not be legal. Reasons that it shouldn’t be legal are that the money that is made is not always used properly, the rules and laws that are made for trophy hunting are not always followed, and there are alternative ways for Africa to produce money. To begin with trophy hunting should not be legal this is because the money or revenue that is made from trophy hunting is not always used properly. In The New York Times article entitled “Trophy Hunting Fees Do Little to Help Threatened Species” it states, “In assessing the flow of trophy hunting revenue to conservation efforts, we found many troubling examples of funds’ …show more content…
According to the article entitled “Africa’s Uneasy Neighbors” it states, “ Some Africans were perplexed by the furor over Cecil. “Do all those Americans signing petitions understand that lions actually kill people?” Goodwell Nzou, who grew up in Zimbabwe, recently wrote in the “New York Time” This point is true, but it is not as important because people and wildlife need to coexist. For example, the humans that are clearing more land for themselves are going into wildlife territory. According to, “Africa’s Uneasy Neighbors” article, “By 2050, Africa’s population is expected to double to 2.5 billion. People will then push into wilderness areas previously occupied by animals and live increasingly close with them.” This says that the human population in Africa needs to try there best to respect the wilds land and figure something else out because the fact that they are taking over animal territory means that they are most definitely not coexisting. So this is not helping the Africans be safe because the animals will most likely go in the land of the

As the population of whitetail deer continues to rise in Kentucky, chances of taking one increase as well. In “Kentucky Deer Season 2013: Hunting Forecast” Darren Warner of OutdoorLife.com states that “The current statewide population estimate for Kentucky's deer herd is about 900,000 animals.” Due to the abundancy of deer, during the apocalypse they will be a great source of food for you and your group. However, after the kill, most hunters do not know what to do next, and those who do often do not take the most ethical route to processing a deer. Compocalypse students need to know how to efficiently process a deer because venison will provide large, protein packed meal during the apocalypse and can also provide skin to make clothing out of,…

The topic I choose for my essay is how bow hunting is different than gun hunting. Hunting in general is one of my favorite things to do. Getting everything ready for archery season is a lot more time consuming than it is for gun season. Bows take a lot more practice to get set perfectly for a great aim. Guns are more easily sighted than bows. Bow hunting also take more strategy and patients because you have to wait on the deer to get closer to you. With a gun you have a farther range to shoot. Also the location of your stand is different with bow hunting. You have to make sure you have open places with to branches covering your shooting area. Gun hunting you can shoot threw brush and small limbs. There are so many differences in bow and gun…

There are lots of different people in the world that are against hunting and people that think hunting is wrong, but what they don’t realize is that hunting wild game serves many purposes. There are a lot of different reasons why there are hunters that hunt and shoot wild game. One reason why hunters hunt is to support their families by putting food on the table. Being able to control the wildlife population and decrease vehicle accidents and vegetation is another reason why hunting is a good thing. Another good reason to hunt is that there is a large amount of money to be made in the sport of hunting that goes right back into conservation. Hunting is a much needed sport in this world to help maintain and keep a stable good environment.…

“Many of the animals are so tame that people can walk right up to them. They have no chance.” States Lena Masr. These animals have been have been raised around people knowing nothing about getting shot, so when they actually trust someone the trust gets taken away along with the animals lives. If exotic hunting were to be a thing it should at least be in Africa where the animals can run and attempt to get away from killed and/ or harmed. Lara Logan states “A Texas hunting ranch is not the same as being in a reserve in Sagal.” ”The future for Oryx’s is Africa… not Texas.” Hunters waste so much money paying to hunt animals, however if people were to hunt they should be hunting in Africa where the animals can run away rather than being trapped in a cage. If anything hunting a caged animal is pointless, “People who kill them are cowardly.” Exclaims Lena Mesri, hunting these animals or any animals in general is pointless unless it is for survival purposes or any other logical…

I am against the big game trophy hunting for many reasons supported by quotes from articles about the story, TMDG. Something so small and harmless may be thought as just a hobby, but in the end, it is a hobby that affects way more. Animals and humans can both receive harm when people hunt; especially when it involves many deaths and drastic changes in someone's life. Throughout the articles I read, I found that big game trophy hunting is quite dangerous; adding to my original thought about being against it.…

Should the Gray wolf be taken off the endangered species list and should they be allowed to be hunted like the common coyote? Scientific evidence does not suggest that wolves should be hunted in Michigan. Moreover, every reason that has been offered for why we should allow wolf hunting is misguided. They are hunted in areas where they have become highly populated for example in areas such as Montana and Idaho because their numbers have increased over 5000 they are killing off the deer and elk population. By controlling the wolf inhabitants it would insure that the wolf does not starve because they ate all their prey.…

“ 61 people have been killed by black bears while hundreds of black bears have been killed by hunters in New Jersey” Does the bear hunt really matter that much? The bear hunt isn’t necessary, and some people may not believe this but it doesn’t change anything. The bears will just keep on growing so why should we murder them for no reason while there are other ways to prevent them from hurting our people. Hunting black bears is a horrendous sport which lets hunters get lots of money for doing something wrong. When has murdering and torturing animals become a sport? What have the bears ever done to us or the hunters? They kill people because they are terrified of us. It is not their fault. When people are terrified they do the same thing. We should end the bear hunt because when we hurt bears that is…

So, I believe that Americans should be able to own guns and not have their 2nd amendment infringed upon because the 2nd amendment says “ The right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” This implies that the people of the U.S can have weapons to defend themselves and no further. Now obviously there is flaws to this as there is criminals that use weapons for horrible acts, but we have people that own guns to protect themselves from the criminals in which case a weapon is used in self defence and not to commit an act of crime. As well as people who use them to protect themselves it is also not meant to kill the gun for example is something that doesn’t kill the user of the…

Why is gun control the supposed “cure” for crime? Why is there always this need to blame guns for people’s crimes? If this theory is correct, then the belief that pencils cause grammatical errors is also true; wait, that doesn’t sound right, does it? Now, all of a sudden when the “cure” is used in this light it becomes ridiculous. In fact, Americans have a constitutional right to own handguns, and stricter laws and licensing will not effectively save lives.…

Approximately 30,000 people die a year because of guns when they are used in both self defense and murder. Many people argue whether restrictions on guns should be enacted or repealed. Tensions have grown high on both sides of the issue making it a hot topic in our country today. Many people cast their votes in the last election based on their feelings about this very issue. The divide among Americans when it comes to gun control is large, spanning from those who want strict regulation, including an outright ban on all firearms, to those who want complete legalization of individual gun ownership. Guns can be used for killing or protection, so it is important to examine all…
