She is so famous because she didn’t cover up her body, she embraced her curves and never hid them like most girls did back in the day “Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it’s better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.” Many women from her era weren’t as sexualized as she was and that made her more entertaining also. In 1962 Marilyn Monroe died at age 36. No one knows how she died, but 50 years later she is still an icon.…

Meriwether Lewis-a US governor and explorer most known for his part in the Lewis and Clark expedition-was found dead on the morning of October 11th, 1809. Many have rumored his death to be murder. Many theories have arisen such as assassination yet none of these theories have any substantial evidence, only speculation. Although, Monroe did not have an easy life growing up. She spent most of her life in foster homes and an orphanage, as her mother, Gladys Pearl Monroe, was not mentally, nor financially prepared for a child. The identity of Monroe’s father is unknown, seeing as her mother was married twice but divorced both before Marilyn was born. Marilyn had two half siblings from her mother. Her sister, Berniece, whom she had not known about until she was 12 and had not met until she was an adult. Her brother, Robert, who passed away in 1933 of kidney failure as a result of Tuberculosis of the bone. When Gladys put Marilyn in the fostering care of two Christians by the names of Albert and Ida Bolender, Gladys lived with them to care for Marilyn herself. In 1927, longer shifts at…

Jackie Kennedy took the death of her husband quite strongly. She became very depressed and was struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder. Some people would argue and say she was only acting to make the public sympathize even more with her. “Jackie was, in her word, stunned when other friends said they hoped she would marry again. ‘I consider that my life is over,’ she informed them, ‘and I will spend the rest of my life waiting for it really to be over.’ She became indignant when, however well-meaningly, people suggested that time would make everything better” (Leaming). Over and over again, Jackie Kennedy relived the exact moment her husband was shot. She was always thinking what she could have done better to try and prevent his death. Jacqueline Kennedy had multiple thoughts of suicide after the death of her husband. Jackie Kennedy was so traumatized by the death of her husband she even confided in Father McSorley, “Speaking again of the prospect of killing herself, Jackie told him that she would be pleased if her death precipitated ‘a wave’ of other suicides because it would be a good thing if people were allowed to ‘get out of their misery’” (Leaming). This shows how greatly Kennedy’s death affected her. She no longer wished to be alive. She wanted everyone to be put out of their misery including herself. Though, when she went out in public she tried to gather herself so no one would fully understand the depth…

There are many theories to this belief that Marilyn Monroe was murdered, one being that Bobby Kennedy ordered her murder by lethal injection to prevent her from revealing her affairs with RFK and JFK. Believers of this theory also state that this makes perfect sense because if Monroe did reveal this, RFK and JFK’s careers would be ruined. The timing of her death is also very suspicious as she was speculated to have been having the affair around the time of her death. Bobby Kennedy was determined to shut her up, according to Peter Lawford which was revealed, according to the authors, “feeling wracked with guilt over the star’s murder. It was the craziest thing he ever…

It was clear from the first episode that the center could not hold in Jackie's life. Nobody can effectively juggle a two-income marriage, children, a workplace romance and a drug addiction without the whole house of cards coming down, and we first met Jackie Peyton right at the point where the base began to wobble. As confused as Jackie's personal life might have been, her complete control at the hospital was the flip side to that chaos. Watching Jackie rule the nurse's station, we got the feeling that in this aspect of her life she wasn't just in charge, she was superb making it all the…
