Personal Statement

“The Phoenix Rises From The Ashes”, the explanation of this statement given to us in our standard X history class fascinated me. Somewhere, sometime deep down I always wanted to visit this great nation, where each and every person had contributed to strengthen the nation. Patriotism apart, the fortitude, the grit, the determination of the people of this nation to “Rise Up” from catastrophic conditions has attracted me to this remarkable nation.
I had the splendid distinction of working at the Honda Cars India Ltd plant in Gr.Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India from Nov, 2011 to Jan, 2013 and came in contact with the Japanese people and their unique nature of working, which I feel will not be found on the face of this earth, this increased my impetus to continue my studies in Japan at APU and pursue an MBA degree in Marketing.
My ultimate goal is to be an “Entrepreneur”, with the objective of learning and inculcating the “Japanese way of business”.
Before harnessing an Entrepreneurship, I intend to work in companies especially Japanese and since in our vicinity, we are going to have a Toyota car assembly plant, I will have bright opportunity for exposure back in my own country. Apart from this, a number of Japanese companies have been mushrooming in India.

I am a qualified automobile engineer and have also acquired the knowledge of manufacturing automotive components at Honda Cars India Ltd. I was able to apply my theory into practice. I became aware of the fact that much more expertise was necessary to accomplish my goals. I am sure the MBA in Marketing programme at APU will “assemble me” with a number of skills required to be a good Entrepreneur.
Academic knowledge apart, I am confident I will imbibe qualities of time management, superior work culture, will power, discipline in other words application of “quality” in every aspect of life which is the basic motto of the Japanese.

After reading this book it is my belief that it is important for Westerners to understand the seemingly strange concepts of Bushido, not only as a guide to events of the past, but as a primer for understanding the Japanese business mentality of today. The first thought that comes to mind when Japanese work ethic is hard working, no breaks, complete commitment to ones job. There may be a reason why Japan was able to rebuild their country so quickly after World War II, this reason is Bushido, the principles of the samurai.…

One big difference is that in the Japanese culture the worker’s relationship within the group is very physiological. Americans usually think more individualistic. Americans think more about self when it comes to career advancement and the Japanese thinks about the whole group. PPQ’s Auto parts rely on the accessibility of the steel industry. According to (Japan’s Steel Works Ltd SWOT Analysis, 2014) the demand for steel and machinery is interconnected with economic activity. Therefore when the economy is good the industry will be great. PPQ must keep this in mind, because if the Japanese economy begins to fail, their business may fail as well. One of PPQ’s short term goals will be to make every business meeting productive. This means not to waste time discussing menial things. They also decided to be good corporate partners in Japan. They will donate and participate in community projects and initiatives. The last short term goal will be to be just as customer service oriented and focused as local Japanese business. They want to not only serve their customers but go above and beyond for each and every one. Their long-term goal is to stay in business in the Japanese market, open several storefronts and become a fortune 500 company who the Japanese employees are proud to work…
