Animal Testing Leads To Death Of Animals
Animal testing can cause and lead to death of the animals in the experiments. Animal testing leads to death in different way normally having the animal suffer. For example, according to ProCon.org 59% of animals tested actually survive though the whole surgery experiment. Meaning that it’s pointless to test animals when they don’t survive the whole test or die after. Which will prevent the animal tester to not be able to collect data after being tested. When animals die during a test that would mean they have to stop and claim the test failed not being able to release more information. Similarly, “ in the 1700s the people decided that if can’t talk or feel they can be tested on and killed”. This would mean that animals can be tested on because

Animal testing has always been a big issue around the world. Some people think that it is okay for animals to be tested on while others don’t. What even is animal testing? Animal testing is where scientists find new medications and test them on the animals before humans. Why might scientists test them on animals first? So, that if something goes wrong, only the animal would suffer and not a human. I am a critic for animal testing. I believe that animals have a purpose to the world just as much as humans do. Even if people don’t like rodents, that doesn’t mean we need to try and potentially kill them. Animals are very important to this world just like everyone else.…

In animal testing, countless animals are experimented on and then killed after their use is up. Some are injured and will still live the remainder of their life in captivity. The doctors will not do anything to help the animals that are in pain that happen to be the reason because of them. It is the aspect of animals testing that many view as a major negative against the practice, as it seems that the animal died in vain because no direct benefit to humans occurred. Even though animals and humans have many things in common like how we both have the same organ system, there are also many things that are different between animals and humans. Many animals cannot handle or take the same medication as humans, most the surgeries that are operated on animals are just too strong for an animal to take so they end up dying or sick for the rest of their lives. (Animal Testing…

There are a lot of bad things that happen in this world and Animal Testing is one of them. Doctors,Scientists and other people test on these animals everyday. In my opinion there should be no animal testing at all. It is cruel. Right now there are millions of animals sitting in cold cages waiting for their next painful procedure. The stress, sterility and boredom causes them to develop neurotic behaviors such as, biting themselves and running around in circles. Most of these animals are killed after the testing because there is no possible way for them to live after this has happened. More than 100 million animals suffer this torture. Exact numbers have not been found, in rats, mice, birds, and cold blooded animals take up about 90 percent.…

Europe, which has the largest cosmetics market in the world, along with Israel, and India all have banned animal testing for cosmetics. They also banned the sale and import of newly animal tested beauty products (“11 Facts About Animal Testing”). The US should follow in the footsteps of these countries to help reduce animal testing rates. There are also some alternative testing options that don’t require animals to be used all the time (“In Testing | Alternatives to Animal Testing and Research”). Animal testing shouldn’t be continued, because the drugs produced from it rarely work, it’s cruel and inhumane, and it’s an expensive process.…

Animal testing is a major debate in today’s society, but it is not just a problem of today. Animal testing dates back the 1800’s when Charles Darwin's evolutionary theory served to suggest that animals could serve as effective models to facilitate biological understanding in humans. Other cases of animal testing include psychological experiments such as the one by Ivan Pavlov in the late nineteenth century. He conducted experiments on dogs to demonstrate how dogs could be conditioned with regards to memory and repetitive tasks, but the first major reference to animal testing occurred in the late nineteenth century when Louis Pasteur gave anthrax to sheep and showed the importance of vaccines with his germ theory. In the world of animal cruelty, there are plenty of controversial issues surrounding this topic. Out of all of them, animal testing would be the most controversial topic in dealing with animal cruelty. Scientists have been doing animal testing for many years, using animals as their guinea pigs. There is a controversy on whether animal testing is right or wrong. On one side, the article “Animal Testing and Its Gift to Humans” by Frankie Trull talks about, as said in the title, how animal testing is helpful in finding cures for human diseases and that we should continue in doing so. The article states “This extraordinary development wouldn’t have been possible without animal research” (Trull 2). This shows how animal testing has helped out in finding cures for many illnesses in humans. Without the help of animals, we wouldn’t have the cures we have today. On the other hand, some people believe that animal testing is wrong and shouldn’t be done. According to the article “Killing Animals and Humans,” it states “...many differences – both obvious and very subtle – between humans and other species make animal experiments a waste of time, effort, money and lives – both human and animal.” (Animal Aid 6). Why test on animals…

In 1242 Ibn al- Nafis used animals to test blood circulation, his theory of human blood circulation was later proven by William Henry many years later. In the 1660's another scientist, Robert Boyle, theorized that living beings needed air to live, he proved his theory by testing on animals. In the 1800's people started standing against animal testing. People who stood against the cruelty brought on to animals led Great Britain to pass the Cruelty to Animals Act in 1876. Animal testing can be dated back to the ancient times of the Greeks and Romans. Physicians would dissect animals with the pure interest to obtain knowledge. But even then, one such physician stated that he would rather use a pig as his subject because he wanted to, “ avoid seeing the unpleasant expression of an ape” (Monamy 9). The ethics of animal testing has always been questioned. Humans do not want to think of animals as on the same level of us. The similarity is terrifying and makes the cruelty obvious. When discussing the idea of Animal Testing, there are generally two trains of thought: one who is against it for the animals sake, and the other who argue it's for the name of science. Even though it may seem like we need animal testing…

For instance, many animals are hurt, tortured, and sometimes killed while tests are performed on them. “Animals used in experiments are commonly subjected to force feeding, forced inhalation, food and water deprivation, prolonged periods of physical restraint, the infliction of burns and other wounds to study the healing process, the infliction of pain to study its effects and remedies, and "killing by carbon dioxide asphyxiation, neck-breaking, decapitation, or other means" (Humane Society International, "About Animal Testing," hsi.org (accessed Oct. 15, 2013)). These are some of the many ways animals are hurt during the process of animal testing. It’s sad and cruel that people do this to animals. Overall, animal testing is an evil, harsh thing to do innocent…
