To begin with, the rioters in the Pardoner’s Tale have shown greediness because at one point in the story they considered betrayal so that they could stay with the gold that was under the tree. Anger is a big deal for the rioters in the Pardoner’s tale. In the Pardoner’s tale the rioters show anger toward death during the whole tale and the preacher at the beginning of the story. The rioters have shown their anger also because they wanted to keep the gold that was sitting under the tree that the old man had pointed them to, which was towards their death. The rioters are mainly angry because they can not find their friend and they have been looking for their friend for a long time now. The rioters were also drunk they were also just sitting around getting drunk just waiting for something to happen. The rioters really did not say anything. They would just get mad when the could not be able to find their friend at the end the rioters started to realize that death has taken the rioters friends life but the rioters never figured that Death wanted to take their life away as well. The rioter’s are angry because they have to share their gold with each other which leads to their death. If the rioters would not have been greedy with materialism all three of them would have been alive and
