How does the tree know how to produce oxygen? How do we know how to naturally breathe in and out? Look at Business. How does one know how to be ethical and moral? Well according to the Holy Bible, God is very much still active in His creation and in a variety of ways.…

When I read this phrase it picked up my attention right away because I am a true believer that God always help us and never is going to leave us alone but, at the same time, I believe it is our job to be smart and choose the best choice. When I was 18 years old, God opened a door so I came to United States to play Soccer and to get a scholarship. Before that opportunity, I was not very close from Christ and never went to church and read the bible very often. Being here, I meet great people, the family that I stay with help me to get closer to God and I started going every Sunday to church and reading the bible more often. Since that moment, God is more present in my life and working through my life showing me His intimate love. With Christ being in my heart, my life has grown stronger and I try to follow His way the best that I can. The NIV of Proverbs 3:5-6 states, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; acknowledge Him and He will make you path straight.”…

For God to have a place in anyone's life they must first want him. This desire must be sincere, and it requires adherence to God’s requirements on the individual for him to do his work. For God, there is clear cut activity that must take place on the side of the person. In Psalm 51, the writer is seeking God’s presence. More than that he seeks redemption from his transgressions against God. He understands that he did wrong. There is knowledge on his part for recognizing what he did wrong. He knows what to do to make it right between he and the Lord. It’s the work that he has to do to reattain the Lord’s presence that makes him cry out. There is a brokenness in him, and a contrite spirit that understands he has a lot of work to do in…

In my life there are so many dilemmas that I have encountered and I conquered all of those dilemmas because of the catalysts whom I considered as the hero to my life who always there for me in good times and in bad times. Of course I considered the Almighty God as my infinite hero but aside from God, without her I think my life had already ruined into darkness. Every time when I am alone, I always remember her sacrifices, perseverance and most of all, her heroic act that able to make my life as what it is today. She never refuses to help me whenever I’m at the lowest portion of life. Sometimes she did not wait that I am the one who will tell her that I need her help and guidance. She already knew when I have a problem or when there’s something wrong with me. She was always there for me and even once never tried to leave in the midst of darkness instead, she carried me during the times that I am about to give up. Do you know that until now at my age that I am matured enough to stand on my own she still guiding and watching over on me every time that I make a step on the stairway of life. Once I asked her why she still doing that way even I can now manage my own decision in my life. She answered me that she did this not because it is part of her responsibility, but doing this so makes her happy and complete and also for me not be stumble again in the rough road of life. She added that as long as she is alive she will continue to guide me even when I’m getting married someday. However that is not all the quality that she has why I considered her as my hero. First let me define what is a hero? A man with a distinguished courage or ability admired for his/her brave deeds and noble qualities. This is what a hero is, but in contrast, my hero is not likewise the heroes of our nations. She is not…

Enemy. When one hears this word, people tend to automatically relate this to negative emotions such as sorrow, despair, anger and hatred. By definition, an enemy is a person we feel hatred for, foster harmful designs against, or engage in antagonistic activities against; an adversary or opponent. Most people think that an enemy must be someone you foster a great deal of hatred for, but that is not necessarily the case. While saying that the person you hate the most should be considered your enemy is correct, the question that I would like to bring forward is who you will consider to be your greatest enemy. By now, I believe there are already some names that stir up the emotions mentioned above, such as anger and hatred; however, that is not the answer I am looking for. Have you ever considered the idea that your worst and greatest enemy is someone you know better than anyone else; someone who is closer than you might expect? Sir Thomas Browne once said “Every man is his greatest enemy, and as it were, his own executioner”. Keeping that thought in mind, the question that remains unanswered is who is man’s greatest enemy?…
