Anesthesiologist Job
I Am Going To Put You To Sleep!
Would you like to put people to sleep for a living? I do! When I get older I want to be an anesthesiologist, which is a medical doctor who keeps a patient comfortable, safe, and pain-free during surgery by a drug called anesthetics. I have different reasons why I chose this job, what I have to do to get this job, and some cons and pros about this job. This job is very time consuming but it is all worth it at the end.
When I was younger, I would always tell myself that I want to be a pediatrician because I loved dealing with babies. Little did I know you have to work with them from newborn to 18 years of age. As I thought about it I didn't want to work with kids all ages. I changed my profession in the 9th grade into and obstetrician/gynecologist. I just wanted to birth babies but you can't just be a doctor that births babies you have to also have to be a womans doctor first and I didn't want to do that. I changed my profession again but I didn't know what I wanted it to be. I went to my cousins

A con in this work is being any type of doctor you have to be in college for at least 8 years and you have to do residency work and internships which is an additional 4 years. You won't start your career until you are at least 30 years old. Also, if you put too much anesthesia in a person's body they can sue you. You have to be very careful when it comes to putting patients to sleep. A pro in this work is once your career gets started you won't have to worry about money. You are highly paid. The salary is roughly 246,000 dollars.
My dream is meant to come true and I am capable of doing so. Being a doctor is all I ever wanted and I am not going to let anyone tell me I can't do it. My cousin inspired me. She's the reason why I chose this type of doctor. It is going to be a long journey but as long as you have your mind right you can get to the

For this report I contacted an anesthesiologist and asked him about what it took school-wise to be an anesthesiologist. If you don't already know, an anesthesiologist is a physician trained in anesthesia and preoperative medicine. Before surgeries, an anesthesiologist determines what anesthetic and how much of it to use on the patient. This job involves a lot of risk and pressure because if you apply slightly too much anesthetics, it will kill the patient, and if you apply too little, the patient could wake up during surgery and go into shock. Also, if you use the wrong anesthetic, it could kill the patient or they will wake up.…

I laid in a cot in my own section of the surgical center. I was about to meet my anesthesiologist for my arthroscopic knee surgery. An anesthesiologist is in charge of administering anesthetics “prior to, during, or after surgery or other medical procedures” (“Anesthesiologists”). The anesthesiologist entered the room and greeted me. She was going to be in charge of my life while I was under. She had to give me just the right amount of anesthetics. Too much and I would perish. Too little and I would awake during surgery and feel every tugging motion inside my knee. Outside the operating room far off is an observatory where an astronomer is hard at work. What he does is fascinating and fantastical to my eyes but it would not be something I would like to do full time. Becoming an anesthesiologist is what I decided to do because it is more of a true full time job, it requires a lot of work, and it is overall a career that is both exhilarating and interesting for me.…
