Analysis Of The Teenage Years Of My Life
The teenage years of your life come with a lot of things. During your teenage years you might feel hopeless about everything. I mean, who cares about writing an essay about some journey. I’m pretty sure I haven’t lived long enough for a very interesting one. Teenage years bring a lot of fake friends and parents that don’t understand you. Oh, and also pointless essays, you can see how teenage years are very hopeless. The teenage journey would include may things that are very unpleasant to people not understanding you. Firstly, friends. I honestly don’t know how to feel about this term. Does it even exist nowadays? Maybe it does, yeah real friends have to exist, right? Yes, I’m pretty sure they do exist because I know at least one true friend …show more content…
My parents seem to fit in that category in a lot of situations. They don’t understand the part where I clearly don’t know what i what to do with my future and guess what, THEY STILL ASK! My mom also doesn't get that I want to hang out with my friends out of school. She goes through every worse case scenario that could happen at a movie theater. Okay, I cant hang out with my friends then stop asking why I’m always on my phone! Also, stop asking why I haven't finished my homework, I hate essays! Parents can bring unnecessary pressure by asking for high grades of not completely understanding …show more content…
That sentence before this one was obviously a lie if you couldn't tell. I HATE SCHOOL! I mean who doesn't? Okay maybe a few people like school but I don't, okay. I literally only come to school for my friends and I’m also forced to come by my parents. Now you might be asking why I dislike school so much, wait dislike is not the right word HATE is more fitting. Well there are many reasons on why I have these feelings. Firstly, how are imaginary numbers going to help me in the future!? I know that school teaches you pointless things but can you at least give me a teacher to teach me. No, I have to learn off a computer. Not having a teacher causes me to be ten times more confused than I was in the beginning. Math wouldn’t really worry me if I had a teacher to teach me. The thing that I absolutely dislike about school is English. I hate english with a burning passion, just thinking about it makes me angry. Nobody cares about figurative language. At least I don't care about it. Reading pointless poems doesn't bring excitement in me. I understand it's the teachers job to teach me all about literature but what's the point? I’m not even joking right now I actually need the answer to this question and the answer better not be abou how I’m going to use it in my future. I am one hundred percent sure that in my future, which is very unclear, but I know I will not be annotating an article. I’m also one hundred percent sure of that. Also,

In the essay, Myth of Adolescence, Alex and Brett Harris incorporate their thoughts on what they feel about what teenagers actually go through during their period of `adolescence.` They go on to compare this phase to an elephant. They say that an elephant is a powerful beast that can be restrained even by a piece of twine. According to Alex and Brett, young teens are the elephant and our twine is the concept of adolescence. Unfortunately, these low expectations end up limiting teens for no reason. Teenagers, between the ages of 13-18, are held back by society and aren't able to excel in life. The essay, Myth of Adolescence, states that the socials expectations are becoming obstacles for teens. We as teenagers, need to erase the invisible shackles…

My junior year in high school I took two classes from teachers who gave immense amounts of work on difficult material. The classes were Honors Pre-Calculus and Advanced Biological Studies II. After a day at school and a demanding golf practice until dark, it was time to start my homework. By then I was already exhausted, but I still had hours of homework ahead of me. Most schools nights I would not be able to start my hefty pile of homework until 8 o'clock. Many nights the strenuous assignments given in Honors Pre-calculus and Advanced Biological Studies II kept me awake late into the night, even as late as 4 am. It was difficult struggling to stay awake and complete my strenuous workload after an entire day of activity. A full night of sleep…

The book All Grown Up and No Place to Go: Teenagers in Crisis by David Elkin explains what teenagers go through and why it’s become more difficult to have to go through the process of being a teenager and discovering who they are. It discusses how families have changed over the years and that there are many obstacles that are presented that weren’t existent for previous generations. There are new situations that make it harder for teenagers to find out who they are, and situations that can lead them down the wrong paths. Being a teenager is never easy, their bodies are going through so many changes and it can be a bit difficult, so I agree with the main points of this book. It states many of the real issues that teenagers go through, such as depression, stress, peer pressure, betrayal, and family problems.…
